Meet Our Latest Winners!

I entered a daily competition on Facebook to win various jewellery pieces from Swarovski that The Saturdays had been pictured wearing. I didn't even look at the main prize, I was so set on winning Frankie's gorgeous earrings! Then I received a call to say I'd won the grand prize, a meet and greet with the band in London and £1000 to spend on Swarovski jewellery!! I actually had to double-check that it was real because I thought I was being had! But nope, a month later my friend Steph and I were in Swarovski's flagship store meeting The Saturdays (who were lovely!) and between us we spent every penny of that £1000 buying Christmas and birthday presents for everyone - as well as a few cheeky pieces for ourselves ;)

Only had a few wins in July, but how special are the prizes that you really want? I've won sun products from Jason Organic Range and Institut Esthederm Products. But by far my favourite was tickets to see my favourite band Linkin Park in November - hence the emails in the photos (prizes for 2 wins still to be sent). Last time Linkin Park toured in England, I actually won a meet and greet with them and that was the start of my comping days! I'd never won anything in my life before then and I thought out of all those thousands of people, you just never know if you don't enter. I consider them to be my lucky omen! Thanks one happy comper!

Last August, I won a 7 night MSC cruise simply by submitting my e-mail address to Condé Nast Traveller magazine. Having a year to take my prize, I chose to go in June around this Western Mediterranean to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We had a fabulous week staying in the Yacht Club which only had 70 cabins and exclusive decks, pools and restaurants. This was much appreciated as the cruise had 4,000 passengers.

Waiting at Genoa airport to return home, we got chatting to Alan Fairfax from Silver Travel Advisor (a similar forum to Trip Advisor but who also provide personal advice for ‘mature’ travellers). He encouraged me to use the forum and post reviews to win prizes. I wrote a review of the cruise and was delighted to find it had won a July review of the day: my prize a lovely guide to wild flowers of Britain and Europe.

I have been comping for over a year now and I have only had the one win but I see it as a hobby and I get a rush from entering competitions. I entered a competition to win a voucher for amazon on the 'Closing soon' tab and the next day I received an email saying that I had won!!! I was over the moon so I treated myself to a new hairdryer a bracelet and my partner a Shaving gift set.

It made the whole year of comping worth it :)

It has always been on my dads list of things to do and this month I made his wish come true, I won a hot air balloon ride for 2 from Jazz FM with Virgin and gifted it to my dad and brother they flew today and had an amazing time so thank you ThePrizefinder, it felt great to but big smiles on their faces.

I love my hobby soooo much :)

I won all these lip balm goodies on Twitter the other day, you just had to retweet the competition and hope and pray!

They came very quickly and I think its worth about £20.00! They will come in handy for the winter months that's for sure!!

July has been an unbelievable month for me. There have been prizes at every turn. Just this morning, I have won 3 incredible prizes. In July, I have won 91 prizes.. I've never won so many prizes in one month! I've won lots of Higgidy instant wins including popchips, quiches, urban fruit... I've also won lots of beauty gifts such as nail varnishes, a luxury pamper session courtesy of Lacoste etc. Lots of food gifts including lots of New York Bagel instant wins and a few big prizes too!

The biggest prizes I won this month were the Samsonite Suitcase (RRP £395), my two night stay at a spa & golf lodge (RRP £450) and only this morning, my Garmin HD Camera (RRP £170). In total, I've won well over £3000's worth this month and I feel incredibly lucky!

The photo I've included is one of my favourite wins that came for my daughter. It's been stashed away for her upcoming birthday but she'll LOVE IT :)

This month has been a good month for wins as early on in the month I got told I had won a Gallo Family vineyards pink moscato wine as I was 1 of 50 people first to enter a gallery picture of my must have item which for me was a jumpsuit.

My second win this month was a Azzaro chrome eau de toilette 100ml men's fragrance and a toiletry travel bag from feelunique.com.

I have also won an instagram competition which had me winning a £50 voucher to spend at their venue on drinks or table bookings.

Feel very lucky this month and having plenty of wins this month has made up for a few quiet months so I'm thrilled to be back on the winning streak.

The strange thing about comping (or luck) is that you can enter the same amount of competitions every month, sometimes you win, and sometimes you don't even get a silly prize. Thankfully, after a long dry spell, July turned out to be great, I've won 2 Ray Bans (Magners Blippar, J2O), headphones, Paco Rabanne perfume, picnic blanket, Sheen watch, Co-op picnic hamper + voucher, bottle of wine, sun-care products, sunglasshut voucher, iPod dock, flip flops, Costa travel goody bag, case of crisp, posh candles and an overnight stay in Essex. Wow, what a lucky month!

It's been a great year for me so far with lots of small and medium size wins. This has included lots of ticket wins including two tickets to the Isle of Wight festival in June. I won this from The Sun Perks and initially wasn't sure whether to go or not as it didn't include transport and I didn't have a tent. I decided I might never get this chance again and as a festival virgin at the age of 53 it was high time I made the effort, so we paid to have a tent erected in one of the glamping fields and ordered our ferry tickets. We had a great time and I am now a fully paid up festival goer. I returned to a Virgin Experience gift voucher win and recently won a weekend away on the Visit Dorset website. Travel prizes are definitely my favourite wins!
