Share Your January Wins

Hello everyone! How is your week going, any nice wins to report? Can you believe it – here we are in 2018!  I sincerely hope you and your loved ones had an amazing Christmas and end to the year and are starting the new year refreshed, reinvigorated and ready to hit the ground running with your comping in 2018! 

If you receive our weekly newsletters you will know that 2017 wasn’t a bad year for me at all.  I managed to win almost £2,000 of lovely prizes, over 45 individual items.  Compared to last year I have won less actual prizes, but almost doubled the prize value.  I had some great wins this year including a PS4 from the Walkers Snap n Share, an iPad Mini from BT on Twitter and three tickets to see Ariana Grande with four bottles of perfume from Top of The Pops Magazine.  I have been working so much this year that my actual comping time has decreased, so I have had to be much more selective about the comps I enter.  I think that explains why my total number of prize wins has gone down, but as I have been choosier about prizes the value of those I have won has increased in line with this.

So, what’s on my Comping Wish List for 2018?  Cash, and lots of it for a start as we are trying to buy a house this year!  That elusive family holiday is also high on my list, as I still haven’t managed to win one in all these years of comping!  I am as always trying to win things for my girls including makeup, Harry Potter items, toys and games.  I would really like to win my husband something nice like a football stadium tour or concert tickets, as his own passions have had to take a back seat while we have been so busy working.  All in all, my Comping Wish List is pretty much the same as last year, I just need to keep plodding on towards my goals and have faith that my hard work will pay off!

Now let’s take a little look at what everyone has been winning during December 2017:

Joanneminky won a lovely necklace from Mother & Baby magazine and a hamper of England football merchandise including tickets to a match of her choice – what a great selection of wins!  Villagefox ended the year well by winning such goodies as a £25 John Lewis voucher and a CO2 alarm, and her son won a colouring competition in which he won a £5 credit for his savings account and a chocolate hamper – yummy!  The double act of Joan and her husband continued their winning ways this month, telling us all about their prize wins including CDs, books, chocolate covered peanuts and a luxury hamper – very nice!  Mapleacorn’s year ended in a winning way too by bagging prizes such as a fabulous tandem paraglide, an Amazon Dot and a back, neck & shoulder massage – a very relaxing end to the year!  Woodsyhere had a great winning email from Jazz FM to say they had won a short stay to see Motown The Musical, and Judefire66uk won the perfect birthday present of a brand new Slumberland mattress in a Facebook comp – super well done!  Kslade had some lovely wins during December including a Fitbit Charge, a £30 Smiggle voucher, a £20 Marks & Spencer voucher and a Molton Brown gift set – a brilliant end to the year!

I think my favourite members’ win that I read about this last month must be the amazing trip that TraceyJWhite told us about!  After being sick with the flu Tracey decided to make the most of her time off by entering some competitions on The PrizeFinder, and she was stunned to find that she had won a fantastic prize from Top Shop online!  She and her husband flew out to New York for a luxury four-day trip including a limo transfer, the full Kylie Makeup Collection, a horse drawn carriage ride, a Broadway Show and a $500 gift card to spend at TopShop on 5^th Avenue!  What a brilliant way to end the comping year – well done Tracey!
