What’s one of the best things about summer in Sussex? Why, it’s the incredible indie festivals we have on our doorstep. This year there’s a shiny new offering in the form of The Wake taking over Loxwood Meadow near Billingshurst.

The one day festival brings culture, coolness with a side order of chic to the Sussex countryside on 27 July. Welsh musician and composer, Gruff Rhys, headlines with performances from Emma Tricca, Richard Norris, The Gymkhana, HOO, Mat Flint, One True Pairing. It’s for all the family too and they’ll be a tent with children’s entertainment, so everyone can feel the true festival vibes.

Plus there’s talks from the likes of Oasis’ press officer, Johnny Hopkins from Creation Records who’ll share his experiences in the music industry and some incredible stories!

South Downs based, Langhams Brewery are in charge of the bar, while there’s all the stage side snacks you’d desire from burgers to crepes. Yum.
