You’ll dine in the historic Grecian Hall, feasting on a one-off menu from Castle Howard’s Head Chef Nathan Richardson-Kelly. Estate-reared Aberdeen Angus Beef is the star of the show, with locally-brewed beer used in the starter and dessert. Expect creative dishes like Castle Howard Blonde Ale-braised beef shin croquette and surf & turf roast langoustine with beef broth. You’ll also get a tractor tour of the Estate, exploring areas not usually open to the public!
Enjoy a one-night stay in the beautiful Librarian’s Cottage
Don’t worry about the drive home, because you’ll be sleeping over at the Estate’s Librarian’s Cottage. Situated in the village of Coneysthorpe, the pretty stone cottage is kitted out with vintage furniture and items from Castle Howard itself. There’s even a log burner for a wonderfully cosy feel. Step outside and you’ll find a picturesque garden with a trickling stream – a scenic setting for your morning brew. Sitting at the heart of the Howardian Hills, you’ll be perfectly placed for exploring the gorgeous surrounding area – bliss.
