‘The Wind in the Willows: The Complete Collection’ is released on DVD by Fabulous Films / Spirit Entertainment on 13th May 2024.
‘The Wind in the Willows’ is brought to the TV screen by the award-winning animation team Cosgrove Hall Films, bringing to life the charming adventures of our four intrepid animal friends of Ratty, Mole, Badger and Toad in a truly magical experience for all the family. Featuring over 24 hours of the best of British animation, this box set is the definitive ‘Wind in the Willows’ collection bringing together all four series of ‘The Wind in the Willows’, as well as the fifth season, also known as ‘Oh, Mr Toad’.
Cosgrove Hall Films made the animated film of ‘The Wind in the Willows’ in 1983 (included in the Extras), which earned the company a BAFTA and an Emmy award. It’s success led to the creation of this stop motion series for ITV. Other Cosgrove Hall TV series include classic animation such as ‘Dangermouse’, ‘Count Duckula’ and ‘Chorlton and the Wheelies’.
The series is narrated by Ian Carmichael and voiced by an all-star cast including Sir David Jason as Toad, Sir Michael Hordern as Badger, Richard Pearson as Mole and Peter Sallis as Ratty.
