I am not one to write a review for every book in a series so to summarize, the rollercoaster ride of angst, anticipation, adrenaline, love, and loss is very well balanced throughout each story. The bonds that grow between the characters creates a sense of family and brotherhood most would long for. Yes, there is sexual tension, anticipation, and steamy scenes. Yes, some are unrealistic in a real life situation, however, for an escape from reality, the thrill of dancing on the edge, these moments meet the need. These are very strong alpha men with equally strong female companions that do not back down from a challenge. They each carry their own scars and thru their stories we see them heal and overcome. The only book I had to push myself to get thru was Dragon. While I very much enjoy his character, his story was a bit dry (for me) compared to the suspense and edge of your seat reading of the other books. There is a great surprise at the end, so I'd encourage anyone to push thru and finish it. I will absolutely continue to read this series as new books are released as well and the spin off NCIS series. Zoe Dawson has quickly risen in the ranks of my favorite author list. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Get ready for a rollercoaster ride. You can never go wrong with Ms Dawson’s books, especially her SEAL Team Alpha series. This one is book 3 , but rest assure , it’s a stand alone. This time she gives us Cowboy’s (Wes McGraw) story. He is back home for his 10th HS reunion. He hopes to see Kia Silverbrook. One of the things I like best of this author’s books are her strong female characters, and Kia is definitely one of them. She is a hacker, legally and illegally. She felt she was being followed and her suspicions are confirmed when she barely escapes a break-in at her home. She suspects it has to do with her latest investigation. Upon his return home, Cowboy is not only drawn to Kia but ends up getting involved in the danger she is experiencing. We end up with a book filled with bad guys, suspense, intrigue, hunky guys , a strong gal, and romance. Never a dull moment in this book. So be ready for a roller coaster ride. - Amazon reviewer
