On the edge of Jesmond Dene, a leafy park dotted with quaint bridges and waterfalls, Jesmond Dene House is a boutique hotel in a Grade ll-listed Arts and Crafts building. Just 10 minutes north of Newcastle city centre, although you’ll feel as though you’re nestled in the countryside as you overlook the wooded valley, there’s plenty to see and do on your doorstep.
No two of the 40 bedrooms here are the same but they all offer the luxuries you need for a relaxing escape. The window seats and private terraces are a bonus. The lucky winner of this prize will enjoy their overnight stay in an executive suite with its own roof terrace.
Guests flock to Jesmond Dene House to visit Fern – an upmarket neighbourhood restaurant where the cooking is skilful, with a focus on creating fine, flavoursome food inspired by the rhythm of the seasons, with a sprinkling of Geordie hospitality. The team of chefs here (led by executive head chef Eddie Saint) take inspiration from the classics and modern cookery techniques. Eddie is a lover of fish and homegrown produce and has created exciting and popular dishes for Fern’s menu. Our lucky winner and their guest will tuck into a three-course a la carte meal in the restaurant accompanied by a signature cocktail.
Following a peaceful night’s sleep in your suite, you’ll awake to a full English breakfast, no doubt followed by a stroll in the beautifully leafy Jesmond Dene.

The winner of this prize will arrive to a bottle of Exton Park English sparkling wine on ice and chocolate-dipped strawberries in their executive suite (Noble Suite or Apartment Suite), enjoy a three-course a la carte dinner with sides and a signature cocktail for two in Fern Dining Room and Bar, then wake the following morning to a full English and continental breakfast. Available to book Wednesday to Friday, subject to availability, the prize is to be redeemed and booked by 20th November 2024. Any additional food and beverages to be settled on departure. Prize cannot be redeemed against special events.
