Meet Our Latest Winners!

I just came back from my dream LA holiday which I won through a Facebook competition with MTV geordie shore (of all things!). We flew on the virgin Atlantic Dreamliner and when we got to LA picked up our rental car. First night was Santa Monica which was pretty much a stop over and then we drove up the Pacific coast highway to Morro Bay a gorgeous fishing village. Then it was back down to Santa Barbara for two nights where we went wine tasting and shopping and then back to Santa Monica where we chilled on the beach, went to a club on a rooftop bar in LA and was star spotting at the premier of Spider-Man (literally yesterday). Can't believe I was so lucky.

Through a Mars text I won 4 nights in Monte Carlo for two.We enjoyed Club Lounge facilities and flew Club class to Nice and transported onwards to Monaco by helicopter.A car took us to our 5* hotel right by the famous Casino.Jaw dropping luxury..even our bedroom walls were covered in damask silk!At night a linen mat was placed either side of the bed so that when we stepped out of bed we didn't sully our feet on the carpet if we hadn't put on the white slippers left in gold gauze bags by the bedside!We were given £750 spending money..at 20euroes for a tonic water that disappeared on food quickly.Breakfast was included and at £35 each it was sure to be delicious!We were driven around for a morning in a Lamborghini and Ferrari..hubby drove but I declined.The next morning was spent relaxing on a yacht taking us along the coast to Italy.We saw sights,window shopped(too expensive) and people watched and enjoyed the open bus around Monaco...we ate well,drank well and lived well..All too soon our car arrived to whisk us back to helicopter pad,onward to club lounge and back home by club class to reality..c'est la vie!

Was informed today that I have won a family ticket to see the Scarecrows wedding in Portsmouth :D Cannot wait to take my little girl to see this! Thankyou prizefinder :)

Having received a lovely little LWE from my local newspaper to say I had won a £10 Waterstones gift card last week, I was most surprised to receive another communication from the same newspaper the next day, different department....CONGRATULATIONS...the word every comper longs to hear........you are one of three lucky prizewinners of our recent Specsavers Competition and you have won £125 worth of Designer Spectacles! Please get in touch with our local newly opened shop to choose your prize and we would like a picture for the paper next week too! Excited?! I was beside myself....then I went into the shop later that day and made a COMPLETE SPECTACLE of myself, getting really excited and choosing a beautiful floral pair of Cath Kidston specs which were EXACTLY £125! Being a member of The Prizefinder for a number of years has brought me quite a few lovely treats as well as giving me a great hobby. I'm still waiting for the 'Big One' but this last year I've won loads of books, 4 sets of headphones, several wonderful colouring books, coconut oil hamper, 20 packets of personalised pork scratchings, Eco-radio, tub of face cream, flip flops, an organic lip balm, hand cream. These came from a mixture of Facebook comp, twitter and web site comps. I love reading winners stories as it gives me hope that one day I will get that magic message that the 'Big One' is on its way! It's been a bit of a lean month this month for wins, in fact since March I've not won very much so even this bottle of Lucozade was a welcome win. It still means I've not gone a month without a win, albeit a very small one ;)

I tend to look for local competitions on Facebook, and was pleased to find a local lady who made gorgeous cakes offering one in a competition recently. To enter, you had to comment on her Facebook post. It was a very short run competition, She had baked the cake and take a photo and the winner would win the actual cake in the next two days. Imagine my surprise when I received a notification to say I had to be picked as the winner! She asked me to go and collect the cake the same day or as soon as possible, and I was relieved that it was only a 15 minute journey for me and that I had sometime that day to be able to make the journey in my car to bring it home. I learnt from this competition, never answer something you cannot collect! Anyway the cake was simply delicious and I posted my thanks. The cake was so huge that was enough for us at home for a couple of days and lots left to take to work. Local competitions have much greater chances of winning, especially if the winner has to collect in person.

Just a small win this month of a Clinique Lipstick through Facebook but big or small it is still exciting to win something. Today I have been notified I have won an Olay bundle too so will be watching out for the postie next month!
