I entered a competition on your website from the food and drink section that was promoted by the UK Food Channel. The prize a fantastic cake from Choccywoccydoodah and unbelievably I won!

I explained it was my youngest daughter's 18th birthday in July and those lovely people at Choccywoccydoodah said they would deliver the cake in time for her birthday.

Here is Lucy with the cake! Many thanks to your website for featuring the comp, as you say you have to be in it to win it.

    Stuffed full of cake,
    Caroline

  • Back to comping with a vengeance

I took a break from comping for far too long ... for over three years! I was travelling and working too hard. So - back in Blighty, I suddenly had the thought of visiting ThePrizeFinder again. Am now back with a vengeance, and so happy ThePrizeFinder remembered me after all this time! In less than a month, I've won a photo competition (just points, but better than nothing), St Ives beauty scrub, 2 tickets to the Hampton Court Flower Show worth over £160, an e-cig and a shopping voucher. Whoop! It is such a lovely surprise to get that call or email saying you've won. I'm still waiting for 'the big win' but the smaller wins and daily comps are great fun too. I know it'll come - in the past I've won a thousand pounds, heaps of merchandise, two spa hotel breaks and a PlayStation. It's a great hobby and this isn't beginner's luck, maybe rebeginner's luck. I won't be taking a break again any time in the near future, it's now part of my daily routine which I really enjoy. Thank you, ThePrizefinder.com

  • Flowers for a year

    Thursday, July 18, 2013

I have been comping for about 10 year but only recently started to use ThePrizeFinder. I have been lucky enough to win quite a few small prizes, mainly DVDs, CDs and books.

However on Friday I received an email saying I have won a bouquet of flowers every month for a year. To say I was excited was an understatement!

I lost my baby boy in January and I kept saying to my partner that I need to get some flowers to put by his picture but with money being tight, I have never done anything about it. My first bouquet arrived Tuesday and it is beautiful. This win really means a lot to me and has brightened up our living space.

Thank you to ThePrizefinder, Belvoir Fruit Farms and Great British Florist.

I have been comping for the past 3 months and haven't won a dicky bird.....until today that is.

I received a voucher through the post for £250 worth of varnish!!! Now I don't have a lot of wood in my house but still gonna spend the lot!!!

This win has given me a much needed boost to keep applying for as many competitions as I can.....so my advice to anyone thinking of giving up.....don't!! You never know what is around the corner.

  • Luck brought me sunshine and food, lots and lots of food

I started entering competitions a few weeks back after watching the TLC show Extreme Sweepstakes. I threw myself into it, entering the "closing soon" competitions every day. I didn't think I'd have any chance of winning but two weeks later I got an email telling me that I'd won two tickets to the Foodie Festival in Bristol!! As an amateur cook I was over the moon.

We headed over there on a wonderfully sunny Saturday afternoon and filled up on samples from lots of cool stalls that ranged from ginger grouse whiskey to the spiciest charrizo I've ever tasted.

Best of all was the demonstrations which included a baking class from Manisha Parmar and Ryan Chong from my favorite show The Great British Bake Off!!

It's given me the push to enter more competitions, maybe I should be looking for Slim Fast competitions after all the scrummy food I ate this weekend.

  • Flights to USA

I have won a number of smaller prizes - tickets to shows, a night in a london hotel but this was by far the best thing ever. We won flights to the USA through Opodo on Facebook. We had a choice of locations and picked Chicago. We have just come back and turned it into a bit of adventure hiring an RV so we saw some more of the states while we were there. Had a fantastic time and have just got over the jet lag !

Last month started a little slow - I won a few books, stickers, DVDs and ail wraps. Nice little wins but I really wanted something BIG! In the 3rd week of June I logged onto Facebook and a few friends of mine tagged me saying well done. When I looked I won 2 tickets to the screening of 'Man of steel' with free popcorn at any Vue cinema. I was very pleased with this and thought it was the best I was going to win this month. A few days later on a Sunday I received an email with the heading FACEBOOK WINNER - I got the usual excitement of opening it and seeing what I won but couldn't believe what it said...I won a hob and top of the range stainless steel pans worth around £700! I couldn't believe my luck, the actual bloke from the Simi kitchen company came to my house and delivered them in person - he was really nice and made me feel very lucky so I'm hoping July will be another great month!

  • Fun First Festival!

My sister had told me she wanted to go to the Wychwood Festival this year, and as I'm the 'lucky one' out of my family, i entered a 1-day-only competition and crossed my fingers. The next morning, i got a notification to say i had won 2 tickets for the weekend festival, worth £120!

I've never been to a festival or camped before so i was really excited that i had won.

As we set up camp (at Cheltnam Racecourse may i add!) i had told my sister to keep an eye on the official Facebook page of the Festival in case there were any spot prizes. Low and behold, 15 minutes later and i had spotted a status saying the first to a food trailer to say 'Best Friend' could win a lunch for 2. I raced down to the trailers, said the magic words and was greeted with 'Winner' banners.

We had a brilliant weekend, got sunburnt, danced at our first silent disco, watched Human League front row and watched Craig Charles DJing!

Now i have the festival bug and would love to win more tickets.

Many years ago before e-mail entries (yes I am that old!) I entered competitions using the post. Not only was it expensive but I never won anything. A few weeks ago I found the prizefinder.com and had a go entering some of the competitions on their website. Entry was free and if I logged on I got the answers to the questions as well. I then spent a week on holiday in Exmouth and received a telephone call to tell me that I had won a voucher for £100 for Waterstones - WOW, I have never won that much before. When I got home there was a letter waiting for me inside were two tickets to get in as an exhibitor to the Hampton Court Flower show this week. I was unable to go so rang Anglian Windows whose competition it was and they agreed for my son to go - he is a gardener by trade and he has had a fantastic time.

Thanks Prizefinder I will use you often to enter the best competitions around.
