Share Your July Wins

Hello everyone!  How is your week going, any nice wins to report?  Can’t quite believe we are in July already – half the year gone and I haven’t even had time to blink!  Three more weeks and the children will be off from school for the long six week holidays, and I don’t feel very prepared yet.  I do have some activities, books, magazines, websites etc squirrelled away, and we are English Heritage members so will make use of all their free and discounted summer events.  Comping will no doubt have to take somewhat of a backseat over the summer, but I do so love spending the family time together without the need for school runs and routine.

How did you do for wins in June?  June was a really slow starter for me: I didn’t have a win until 20th June in fact!  Although the original winning email was sent on 11th June for a signed book I won, I must have missed it and had to wait for them to resend the email on 20th June before I spotted it again.  I ended up with a nice total of seven wins for June, which isn’t too bad for a month that was really very busy with work, school commitments and social engagements.  Here is a run-down of what I managed to win during June 2015:

• A signed copy of The teenage Girls Guide to Being Fabulous, from KalliKids on Facebook
• A chocolate Heaven hamper, from Office Kitten on Twitter
• A Playmobil set, from an online game comp my daughters entered
• A Disney Nature book, from Saga on Facebook
• A Zoflora disinfectant, from their daily instant win
• A case of Carling Cider, from their Twitter photo comp
• A My Little Pony magazine, from The Entertainer on Instagram

I have managed to win prizes form a good spread of sources this month, so it proves that not keeping all your comping eggs in one basket does pay off.  I like to do a variety of social media, online, creative, email and postal competitions, and it seems that this is the best way to go for me to increase my chances of winning.  My favourite win this month has to be the Playmobil set my daughter won – my girls had great fun building it together after school, and it has become a firm favourite in their bedroom.  The case of Carling Cider will also be well loved too, mainly by my husband but I am sure I shall help him out and drink a bottle or two.

Enough of my June wins, let’s see what everyone else has been up to and winning over the last month:

Goatinaboat had a great start to the month winning 4 tickets to the O2 Shepherds Bush to see Gorgon city from Kiss FM, as well as a surprise win turning up of some Aden & Anais goodies from Annabel Karmel worth £130 – a very nice surprise!  Sloopy123 won some tickets too, this time to the Bolesworth International Horse Show including car parking, and Laura44v had some lovely wins during June including a Multiply Your Money book from Moneywise and a baby bib from Fairy.  Caspertheghost managed to bag themselves a pair of earrings from You & Your Wedding and a fab Nutribullet from Pink Lady – a great gadget to have won!   Kslade had some fab wins too including tickets for London Zoo from Mr Kipling and a festival pack from Brothers Cider - maybe they should get together with cazzycaz who won a personalised tankard this month – cheers both of you!  Xxme2uxx had her usual load of lucky dust sprinkled on her last month winning such lovely things as lots of children books, free lunches from Walkers, £100 Virgin Experience vouchers, a retro summer mascara and even a luxury silicone rabbit vibrator – crumbs!

The member who won my favourite prize this month is probably Goatinaboat who won what I would consider my dream prize at the moment – a 4* weekend break in Barcelona courtesy of Capital FM.  A weekend away would be lovely right about now – I hope you get some lovely weather when you go, well done!

Bigdunc only started comping properly this month and has already seen results winning 2 tickets to see Kylie at Hyde Park and 6 tickets for the London Motorsports Festival.  I would say that’s a great result for a first foray into comping – big congrats!
