Share Your February Wins

Hello everyone! How is your week going, any nice wins to report? Well I am as always surprised by how quickly the months are passing, and here we are in February already!  This is a busy month for me as it is my youngest daughter’s 7th birthday today and we also have half term in a few weeks, which always means a change in working & social commitments! January was actually quite a good month for me in terms of wins, and I managed to bag five lovely prizes for my efforts.  Here is a breakdown of what I won:

  • A Sew your own Moly doll, from a blog competition

  • An Elizabeth Arden face serum worth £170, from an advent competition on Instagram

  • A VIP night out at Mecca bingo with tickets, food & wine, from a local Facebook & radio comp

  • A small Child’s Farm hamper & personalised picture, from a photo entry competition

  • An iPad Mini 2, from BT on Twitter

Not a bad start to the year at all!  My husband and I took the bingo prize this Monday and were treated to a brilliant night where no expense was spared.  We had a lovely meal each, a bottle of wine, all our bingo tickets, a cuddly pug toy and even our dabber pens!  I was very chuffed to win the iPad Mini with BT as well, which was a competition that ended on the 31st December 2016 – just goes to show how long some promoters take to draw and announce winners or comps!

Anyway, let’s take a look at what some of our lowly members have been winning during January 2017 – I say some, but in truth there weren’t many comments this month, mainly doe to the site being down and not fully functioning for some of the month.

Villagefox had a slow start to the month but still managed to win such goodies as a case of Magners cider from NisaLocally on Twitter and six “for her” DVDs from Warner Brothers on a blog comp –a great haul for arguably the quietest comping month of the year!  Cathtaylor wrote to tell us about her January prizes too, after having a lean prize year in 2016.  She started the year by winning cinema tickets from Rollover, and then went on to win a fabulous 2.5 seat sofa from Period Home & Ideas worth a whopping £3,790!

As mentioned, you may have noticed that our site has changed somewhat over the last few weeks.  We had to rebuild the site on a new server, so that in the future it can be even more robust, secure and functional for all our members.  Please do bear with us while we iron out some teething problems and get all the customisation options working – it will all be worth it in the end!

I'm enjoying the Walkers selfie competition on twitter. I won a Champions League football straight away and it seems most people have done so too. I'm holding out for a PS4 or football tickets so I keep tweeting three photos a day (fingers crossed!).

 

Well done on the ipad mini Kirsty. You've given me prize envy with that win :)

I won 4 bags of seed potatoes and 8 packets of herbs from Kitchen Garden magazine. I've also won something from Wisdom toothbrushes so a nice start to the month.

After a really non existent January for wins I started off Feb well with a £40 voucher for dinner at a nice restaurant local to me. Most of my success has been through Facebook comps... never have I won on twitter, is there a trick to it I may be missing?

Hi well done on the win! No real tricks for Twitter other than entering within the last hour of the closing time if possible and adding a suitable comment too, as your entry will be higher up the promoter's list. Also try and do comps that are not just straight retweet ones, as they are usually lower entry.

Won a £100 voucher for red letter experiences, have put it towards afternoon tea and theatre tickets for Wicked a few days after my mum's birthday.

Feb is continuing to be a good month. I've won some Grubbs frontline wellies from horse and country magazine, a huge bundle of horse goodies, £375 worth of kitchenware from the Prestige moments range and some Clinique lipsticks
