well, i am celebrationg 15 years of being a member of the prizefinder and this month so far (it's the 12th) I have won 17 competitions, it started with an email to say i had won with Mr Muscle and Waitrose and the prize was a £500 pound voucher, the next day i had another email to say i had won with ristorante and fabulous magazine and that was a 4 star holiday all inclusive of flights etc to Florence in Italy with a wine tasting day in the Cianti region, after that i have won books, toys, wild bird feeder kit and seeds, i have won a night out with Gala Bingo for 8 people, meals, drinks and bingo included, a £50 shopping voucher, a £25 shopping voucher and then 2 tickets to a VIP christmas lights switch on and to meet the Vamps.. i can't wait for the post and emails to come tomorrow, thank you so much for all you do.. you are awesome.

I always look at people who have a list of wins in one or two months and thought it would never happen to me. I win about 1-2 prizes a year if I'm lucky and haven't won anything really big for years. Well anyone reading this never give up because after winning a brilliant trip to Oxford in September, I have won over last month and this month:

I entered the BFI Halloween horror competition for 4 horror Blu-Ray movies and I won. Now I just have to choose in what order to watch the movies and break out the popcorn.

I had to nominate a charity in the Nisa40 competition to receive a hamper and explain why they should receive it. I nominated PATH Torbay which is a charity that supports the homeless. I was surprised when it arrived at how nice it was and on giving it to the charity they decided that rather than using the contents for their weekly homeless night off that they would use it as a prize in one of their raffles. The proceeds from raffling it will provide far more for the homeless than just using it for their weekly get together.

I entered online the People's Friend Annuals competition and was delighted to be a winner.I received 6 retro/vintage Annuals ....1962,1977,1983,1998 and 2010.
The 1962 annual contains wonderfully dated adverts from Scotland.I am looking forward to reading these books as the cold nights of winter draw in!

I was lucky to win from Wax Lyrical the Night Before Christmas Giveaway Gift Set Package worth a whopping £170!I love their candles and pot pourri and this will enable me to have the scent of Christmas in every room..how delightfully wonderful!

I entered the Classic FM competition 'Breathe'. You had to tell them who had inspired you in your life. I told them of my school maths teacher, an elderly gentleman, and how he had sometimes turned up minus his false teeth and 'gummed' his way through lessons. (Including the odd Steptoe - from Steptoe and Son, impression which those of my age will remember) A tiny man, he spoke of events in his life eg standing up to the school bully to defend someone even smaller than himself. How you should stick up for what’s right even when it’s difficult. Nearly 50 years ago now and I still remember him.
I got a shock when the phone rang a few days ago and it was classic FM, saying I was one of 3 people who may win the prize, just stay on the line and if I heard John's voice in a minute then I had won. I waited, the line went dead, I put the phone down. 2 minutes later it rang again, it was John, they were having technical difficulties and the line had cut out! I was actually the winner! I went on to Classic FM to speak of my teacher, and won a 2 night luxury break in Southampton including a river cruise and deep tissue massage for 2 plus £300 spending money. That will be a lovely treat for my husband and I next year.

A great bowling trip for all the family and a meal thrown in for good measure! October must be a lucky month and is also my birthday!

thanks to PrizeFinder we were lucky enough to win £500 of new carpet, something we've wanted for a while to replace the moth eaten and stained carpet in my daughter's bedroom. The picture doesn't do it justice - easily the best prize of the year!
