Dreading the thought of wrapping another pile of presents this Christmas? Why not take them to a gift-wrapping station and leave them in the hands of a professional gift-wrapper – free of charge?

Pepsi MAX has launched five of these handy services around the country, after it emerged that approximately half of Brits consider wrapping up all the presents ahead of December 25, to be a chore.

However, two-thirds (65%) still believe it is important to give a gift that is well-wrapped, as it makes it seem more thoughtful.

The survey of 4,000 adults, commissioned by the drinks brand, found that men are more likely than women to try and pass their wrapping duties off onto someone else (62% of men, compared to just 41% of women).

But six in 10 will try and get all of their wrapping done in one go – as 62% get fed up with how much time it takes. It also emerged that 55% fess up to having no wrapping skills at all – with this rising to 60% of millennials, and 69% of Gen Z.

Pepsi MAX spokesman, Dagmar Emery, said: “The holiday season in the UK is a time for celebration, laughter, and memorable moments. We should be spending time with friends, family, and basking in the festive spirit – but there’s always a list of things to get done before the fun begins.”

The study, carried out via OnePoll, also revealed some of the other festive chores that Brits are looking forward to the least – from the mammoth task of washing the dishes on Christmas Day (32%), to having to clean up after their guests (25%).

Others loathe having to write cards, buy presents, cook meals – and even put up decorations.

Dagmar Emery added: “In 2023, with the newly launched Christmas is Better with Pepsi MAX campaign, we’re creating experiences that save time, stress, and energy, allowing for a better holiday season – including offering respite from one of the least enjoyable chores, gift wrapping.

“Providing a personalised experience, that adds sentimentality and ease to the gift-giving process, we're ensuring that your Christmas is not just merry, but also better.”
