Win a two-night stay for two at Hartwell House & Spa, in rural Buckinghamshire. The prize includes two nights in a Royal Bedroom, with breakfast, dinner on one night and a 111SKIN facial per person.
Enclosed by rolling meadows, wooded parkland and gardens, Hartwell House & Spa’s Grade 1 listed (Jacobean and Georgian) manor was built for wealthy country gentleman and politician Sir Alexander Hampden between 1570 and 1617. The manor’s rich history includes a stay by exiled King Louis XVIII of France and ownership of Ernest Cook in 1938, grandson of Victorian travel tycoon Thomas Cook and a major benefactor of the National Trust.
Aptly, Hartwell House is now a property of the National Trust by donation from Historic House Hotels, who restored and enhanced this classic stately home and its exquisitely landscaped gardens and parkland. There are 90 acres in total, on the edge of the Chilterns, featuring a spring garden, orchards, temples, columns, an obelisk, statues, a lake, croquet lawn and yew exedra. Hartwell House therefore feels utterly secluded and peaceful, yet is in fact easily reached from London within 60 minutes; Oxford, Bicester Village and Woburn Safari Park are also nearby.
The lucky winner will receive:
- A two-night stay in a Royal Bedroom
- Breakfast
- Dinner on one night
- A 111SKIN facial per person
