  • Back on a lucky winning streak!

This month has been a good month for wins as early on in the month I got told I had won a Gallo Family vineyards pink moscato wine as I was 1 of 50 people first to enter a gallery picture of my must have item which for me was a jumpsuit.

My second win this month was a Azzaro chrome eau de toilette 100ml men's fragrance and a toiletry travel bag from feelunique.com.

I have also won an instagram competition which had me winning a £50 voucher to spend at their venue on drinks or table bookings.

Feel very lucky this month and having plenty of wins this month has made up for a few quiet months so I'm thrilled to be back on the winning streak.

The strange thing about comping (or luck) is that you can enter the same amount of competitions every month, sometimes you win, and sometimes you don't even get a silly prize. Thankfully, after a long dry spell, July turned out to be great, I've won 2 Ray Bans (Magners Blippar, J2O), headphones, Paco Rabanne perfume, picnic blanket, Sheen watch, Co-op picnic hamper + voucher, bottle of wine, sun-care products, sunglasshut voucher, iPod dock, flip flops, Costa travel goody bag, case of crisp, posh candles and an overnight stay in Essex. Wow, what a lucky month!

  • Festival Fun

It's been a great year for me so far with lots of small and medium size wins. This has included lots of ticket wins including two tickets to the Isle of Wight festival in June. I won this from The Sun Perks and initially wasn't sure whether to go or not as it didn't include transport and I didn't have a tent. I decided I might never get this chance again and as a festival virgin at the age of 53 it was high time I made the effort, so we paid to have a tent erected in one of the glamping fields and ordered our ferry tickets. We had a great time and I am now a fully paid up festival goer. I returned to a Virgin Experience gift voucher win and recently won a weekend away on the Visit Dorset website. Travel prizes are definitely my favourite wins!

  • Glyndebourne Win

I have had a few wins in July, starting with the usual Pop Chips from Higgidy as many other have also won - well done all. Although I did not win the Miso Tasty comp they sent a link to claim a free pack of soup, for which my husband became the guinea pig (and he enjoyed it too). My best win this month was a Foster Grant Sunglasses 5 Style Bundle from Instyle Magazine which I hope will arrive any day now! However, the piece de resistance for me was the tickets to seats in the best box at Glyndebourne! (Won through Gardens Illustrated in May) Wow, what a night that was, dressed to the nines and opera in full flow. It was absolutely terrific and something that I could not afford to experience - unless I won it. Other July wins include two books from Goodreads, a pack of captive cables, This is Brazil - Cookbook, a bike seat cover and two mystery prizes from The Happy Egg Co, yet to arrive. All this is thanks to ThePrizefinder because without you guys I wouldn't have even entered the comps. You're great. Thank for the inspiration and help you always give.

  • Looking up!

My initial forays into comping were cut short last year after a month of very modest results when I injured my arm and the doctor placed my computer out of bounds. Six weeks ago I started again and things have been looking up! So far this month I've received a Higgedy quiche voucher, an England football shirt from Carpetright, a heated throw from Dreamland and, perhaps most surprisingly of all, a £20 voucher for the Giftwrapped & Gorgeous pin-to-win comp when the promoter decided also to give vouchers to runners-up, even though the comp was advertised as a single-prize comp. What's more, two other promoters have told me I've won prizes worth over £100, but until I hold them in my hands I'm too superstitious to believe it!

  • Finally won

I have been comping now for about a year and a half and haven't won a dickie bird. I don't get very much chance with working full time and having a daughter to look after in the evenings but when she goes to bed I come on this site and try for about 20 competitions a day. I was starting to get a little disheartened when yesterday I checked my emails and had my very first congratulations email from Emmie Boutique to say I had won a £50 voucher for the boutique.
I was over the moon and this small win has spurred me on to carry on and not give up. Thank you PrizeFinder.

  • England Shirt Win

    Monday, July 21, 2014

After a series of small wins, I won an England shirt for my hubby with personalisation! This was from a Carpetright competition and was only the runners up prize! When I first started comping, I was disillusioned as I never seemed to win anything, then the wins all seemed to come at once! I am holding out for a big win but this one is the best so far! He is pleased as punch about it!!!

  • Holiday Wins

    Sunday, July 20, 2014

I've had a good month, before I went on holiday I won an istrap for my bag and sun mousse. While I was away I found out I'd won a tooth whitening kit, a case of a Blue Nun, Echo Falls make up, 10kg of dried cat food, a Nivea set and a lovely cheese and ale hamper. I've also got some cards through the door for deliveries. I love surprises! With only an hour a day's internet on holiday I can't wait to start comping properly again!

  • What a month!

July has been brilliant and it's not over yet! I've had my biggest win of the year, when my dog was crowned UK's Naughtiest Dog from a photo comp. I've included the photo here... I received £500 in vouchers for a store of my choice and £150 towards blinds as the competition was hosted by Direct Blinds.

I've also received some beautiful Daisy London earrings, a £50 voucher for Pizza Express, a die cast VW Campervan toy, a stunning colourful cushion, a Hairy Bikers cook book and a cocktail making kit.

Easily my best month so far of 2014! I'm posting my winning story a little early as I'm off to Indonesia with some of my students for a biodiversity research trip, working in the rainforests of Sulawesi.

Good luck everyone :) I hope the rest of July brings you lots of wins x

  • Finially started winning

I've been comping now properly for a few months but have done it on and off for years. I've entered hundreds of comps every month, with no prizes to show for it. However this month I've finally started winning. This is my short list of prizes for end of June/beginning of July 2014.

-1 year's free travel on the Metro - which I forfeited as I don't use the Metro.

-anklet bracelet from an Accesorize Facebook comp

    - and my biggest ever win so far is a recent email I got about winning £500 worth of Wiggle vouchers. Wiggle is a sports website and have lots of things to choose from so I'm looking forward to receiving my £500 voucher code within the next few days. I'm going to treat my family and I can't wait.

My big win has kept me going and I'm still entering lots of comps, hoping at some point to win a holiday. My cousin's husband has won a couple of cruises from comping so there's always the chance, just got to enter as many as possible. I only use my own details to enter competitions, remember some sites may see the same IP address is used so it's best to use just your own details to enter as to make sure your entry is definitely valid - that's my tip to everyone.

Keep comping guys. I was about to give up, but it just shows in the end that you can win big if you keep at it.
