I am a primary school teacher and spend any free time I have entering competitions, mainly for holidays (though most can't be taken in school holidays so that's annoying!).
My 6 year old had a brilliant summer report at the end of Year 1 and what better way to celebrate than me winning him a complete set of CGP Year 2 workbooks for him to do during the holidays... well, that and the assorted outdoor games that came with them! Basically an investment in me-time as well as his education and physical well-being. I know which one he was most happy about!
