Last year I entered a competition to win a two night stay at Silver trees nature reserve which is home to hundreds of wild fallow deer.
Months went by and I didn't hear anything else about it so I slowly forgot about the competition and I unfortunately lost my mom unexpectedly to a heart attack not long after.
A few more months went by after losing my mom I received a phone call informing me I had a wonderful a trip for two to stay in a lodge overlooking the nature reserve.
My mom's favourite animal is deer and she absolutely loved them. I was absolutely delighted when I woke up the first morning to see wild deer standing right outside the front door!
I quickly ran into the kitchen to grab a carrot I was saving for dinner and offered it slowly to the wild deer on my doorstep.
The next day he brought his friends and I managed to snap this amazing photo! This was a once in a lifetime experience and I believe my mom was with me enjoying my life changing experience.
