I have just received my prize from a Facebook competition run by Change 4 Life.

It consists of three separate items that will come in very handy. A sturdy shopping bag, a cup and saucer and some Mornflake porridge oats.

I always end up paying for a carrier bag whenever I go shopping, so I will remember to take my bag with me from now on. The cup and saucer will be for when my friend visits as it is bone china, which she will appreciate, and the porridge oats will give me a kick start to get back to healthy eating.

I won’t have any excuse for disturbing my husband now, with the noise cancelling WiFi headphones. Mind you, the Hive speaker, which was the other part of the prize, might well shake the rafters a bit. This win - from Trusted Reviews - was particularly welcome, since we just discovered that our current set of headphones have cracked, and can no longer be used.

It's only a bottle of Gin & Tonic, but even the little wins gives you such a boast!..The Gin came in handy to celebrate my first grandsons entrance to the world..It just goes to show if you follow a great site (prizefinder) your dreams will come true if you keep at it. Wow! What a month here it is:

- A Kindle Fire 7 from Facebook, I had to comment with the town I live in, then like and share.

- £50 M&S voucher one for me and one for the person I tagged in the Facebook comment which was my Nan.

- A Pm-1 Limited Adirondack Dreadnought Rosewood Guitar worth £1,019.00. I won this on the Fender Facebook page, I was one of five winners and we had to comment with what inspires us to write music.

- I then received a letter from Bauer Media Group (Take a break) to say that I had won £750 in issue 79 of the Mini Codebreaker Collection. Thank you to compers news for this one, your magazine helped me. :-)

-I also won a £20 Vue cinema giftcard from a twitter competition.

-I received through the post a win from Virgin Experience of a behind the scenes tour of any football stadium in the UK, not sure what competition I entered for this one, it was a surprise win.

- And finally the other day I won a £16 cosmetics gift basket. Which I will be keeping for my friend for Christmas.

Such a jaw dropping month, I have never had a month like this in the last 5 years of comping.

I entered a competition with Nisa to win a hamper which you had to nominate someone or a charity which you thought deserved to receive the hamper and tell them why. I got an email on Friday saying I had won and that the hamper was being sent to the charity I had nominated, which is the Camborne and Redruth food bank. The work that this charity does for my local community is fantastic. They help so many families who are really struggling by giving them access to the food bank, even at Christmas they put together Christmas dinners for families that wouldn't be able to afford 1. They rely completely on donations so the hamper will be going a little way to help.

We had decided that we needed a new sofa, so we browsed around but ended up deciding that maybe we should wait and made a wish list for a future time. Two weeks later we received an email from Furniture Village explaining we had won a three seater sofa, the EXACT and I honestly mean it, the exact same sofa we had looked at. We were floored to say the least! We now have a stunning sofa just in time for Strictly. I normally wouldn't enter things like this but thought there's nothing to lose and get in the spirit of it girl and look what happened. Thanks Prizefinder!

In May I won You Say You Want a Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966-1970 competition from the V&A to celebrate The Summer of Love's 50th anniversary. I finally made it to San Francisco on the 3rd September. We had a wonderfully exhausting holiday. This my partner and I with John Lennon in Madame Tussauds.

I started comping again in May after a long break and had been starting to think that I would never get a win and just wasn't the lucky type when I got a message from Life's a Hoof on my facebook page to tell me I had won this beautiful Breyer horse model in their fb comp. It's a beautifully detailed model and big too, about a foot long.
Here's hoping that I have broken my losing streak and I'm crossing my fingers for more good news to come.
