This photo won me £25 when I sent it in to My Weekly magazine for ‘photos that make you laugh or cringe’.
It was taken at Craster in Northumberland one day last summer and I look as though I’m sleepwalking up the cliff!
Comments I’ve had include, ‘where’s your face?’ and a suggestion from my daughter that maybe it could be used for an episode of Doctor Who. Hm, suppose I could be emulating a dalek with my arms stretched out like that.
It was actually my friend who first discovered that my photo had been printed in the magazine but I do have a soft spot for My Weekly anyway as I can remember my Gran reading it throughout her life and now I do.
Whilst I’m still not sure if the photo makes me laugh or cringe, the prize has definitely made me beam!
