  • First ever win!

    Tuesday, August 21, 2012

I have finally managed to win my first ever competition with the help of ThePrizeFinder.com! I have been using the website on and off for a number of years, usually ending up quitting after a period of no wins. This year I have made a concerted effort to enter comps from the ‘Closing Soon’ section of the website on a daily basis. My hard work was finally rewarded when I received a copy of the Ghost Rider 2 DVD through the post. Hopefully this is the first of many wins. For others who haven’t won yet, it can be done!

  • Chocolate Heaven

    Tuesday, August 21, 2012

I love ThePrizeFinder - I have won so many "small" prizes and enjoy entering competitions each day.

I have won a RUG, PERFUME, ClOTHES, ROOM MAKEOVERS and more - one of the favourites with my children was last December just before Christmas I won 2 hampers of chocolate - one from Divine and the other Hotel Chocolat - great to share and give to our favourite animal charity for their tombola which raised over £400

    Thank you Prizefinder!!

I have only just started using this site although I have loved entering competitions for many years. I have been lucky and won Marley Coffee and One Love Festival Tickets and heard a couple of days later that I had won Horse of the Year Show tickets for December - a super Christmas treat for my daughter. Logging on every day hoping to keep lucky!

  • A whole lot of Tesco dollar

I've been comping for over a decade with ThePrizefinder. I had a fair bit of success to start with, winning two lots of festival tickets and a mobile phone back in 2001. But then everyone got on-line and comping became much more popular, and the wins really dried up. Nowadays I'm quite busy with other things so I concentrate my entries on big prizes that I really want, like holidays, cars and cash.

Then last week whilst I was in Tesco my mother phoned me, excitedly telling me that I'd won a prize of £2000 Tesco shopping. When I phoned them back I was very cautious that it might be a scam and the girl on the phone was a bit miffed that I wasn't estatic! On Friday the prize finally arrived. I'm going to try to not fritter it away and will perhaps get something useful like a laptop for my Open University studies.

  • I Love Comping

    Wednesday, August 15, 2012

Hi All. I love comping! I've been comping now for about 3 months & my first win was £75 worth of Lego vehicles which I was very happy with. My second was suntan lotion, then soap & perfume. I'm just waiting now for the big win! I love comping; its really great & all the other winners stories keep me going. Well done all! I love this site. Many thanks Prize Finder.

  • A few wee wins

    Monday, August 13, 2012

I've been comping for about a year now to keep me busy whilst job-hunting. I've only had a few small wins but, like a lot of people have said, small wins keep you going until you get a bigger one! My favourites have been a 'Slanket' at Christmas time which kept me nice and cosy, and a lingerie set from New Look which was a total surprise as they didn't contact me to tell me I'd won. Keep trying compers! I can't wait for a win that's a wee bitty bigger than my previous ones! :)

  • Ronseal Competition

Whilst browsing ThePrizefinder.com, I saw a competition from Ronseal asking you to submit a photo of your garden project. The prize was £1,000. I desperately wanted to build a summerhouse for my kids. My boyfiend had built a fantastic area in our garden and transformed a muddy patch of land to a chill out zone, so I thought I would enter it as he had worked so hard on it. I started to submit my entry then realised it was on Facebook votes, so decided not to enter. The cat chose that moment to jump on my laptop and the entry was gone! I thought no more until I received an email saying we were though to the finalists. We were given as much paint and decking stains as we wanted to finish the project. We didn't win the £1,000 (a charity deservedly won it) but we were given huge amounts of paints for free. It took weeks to paint it all! So we did win in the end..and it appears my cat is good at comping too!!

  • My Comping Wins

I've only been comping for about 8 months so far, but what a brilliant, absorbing, entertaining and thrilling hobby!

I won nothing for a few months but then recieved a record bag (wasn't sure where from...no letter!) through the post. That was my first prize and gave me some encouragement. The second came while we were having a break in York....I checked my emails on my phone to see that i had won something from Rombouts...but couldn't get the whole of the email on my phone....Rang my mother to get her to check my emails, and it was a break in Flanders ....accommodation and ferry crossings included! That was a great last night of our trip I can tell you!

Had the excitement of planning it all, and then stayed two nights in the Novotel in beautiful Ghent...Our first trip abroad for years!

Shortly after won two tickets to the I deal Home exhibition which made a good mothers day treat and day out. Next to come was my big one! Two nights in a luxury five star cottage on Loch Tay in Highland Perthshire, with £200 spending money, £100 towards travel and a posh meal on one night! Due to take this one in two weeks...can't wait. It's something I would never be able to do had I not won it...and it's lovely to treat family and friends.

Since then I won Global Gathering tickets and a 6 months premium spotify subscription. I had a very good week recently with a Liz Earle box set, £50 specs network voucher and an email telling me I'd won a "nutrilite and artistery" package from Top Sante (No further explanation) I couldn't recollect what this was, but arrived back from Global gathering to find box of vitamins, energy drinks and organic makeup...just what the doctor ordered. My latest, but not least, win was a hamper of cheese and chutneys, and my olympic recipe published on the website! And my partner and his sister are getting in on the act and have all won tickets to a local festival which we can all go to! I enter as many comps as I can...people are amazed by all my wins, but as the saying goes, you have to be in it to win it! Keep comping!

  • Olympics 2012

My husband and I have just had the most amazing time after I was lucky enough to win a twitter competition with the National Lottery to go and see the mens 100m final at the Olympic games.
They took care of everything from start to finish including travel and accommodation. We were treated like royalty all day and just couldn't believe that we were there. It's one day we are going to remember for ever.

After getting the train down to our hotel in London we were greeted with champagne and nibbles and then taken to the Olympic park where we were taken the the hospitality suite.
We were treated there with more drinks and food while we watched Andy Murray win gold.
The highlight was being track side while Usain Bolt won his gold medal. It was an amazing day and one I know can't be repeated

  • A Chef For The Week

I was lucky enough to win the amazing prize of having a professional chef come to my home and cook for us for a whole week from a Facebook competition run by The National Lottery. We had 3 meals a day cooked by the amazing Fay and I also had a dinner party one of the evenings with some of my girl friends, she even brought a case of champagne for us as part of the prize. By the time the week was through I was stuffed, we'd eaten fillet steak, roast lamb, Chinese crispy duck, cakes, souffle, fish and so much more. It was an amazing week and one that would never have happened to me if I hadn't won this prize. I can't begin to imagine how much it was worth.
