  • My first big win

    Wednesday, July 4, 2012

I started entering competition about 4 months ago, since then I've won packs of chewits sweets, lip balm, shaving razor. Then one saturday morning the postman knocked with a big envelope. Inside was a goody bag from L'Oreal. I thought I'd won a main prize. I was happily shocked, and then I realised it was a runners up prize! That made me even more happy!! I shall keep on entering! I'm hoping to win an iPad. That would be awesome!

I've gone through phases of entering comps and recently started to slow down. Then over the past week I got great news 3 times!! I first won £50 flight vouchers from Flight Centre and a Travel Photography book for being the worst photographer of the year. Then came news on Facebook that I'd won a professional vintage hair and make-over (I love vintage) and just now I got a call to say I've won a VIP Carlsberg night out for me and 5 friends at the Casino Empire with drinks, food and gambling vouchers! I AM SO SURPRISED! Fingers crossed I get a holiday one next! Thanks PrizeFinder for helping me to find these! x

I won this 1Kg Beautiful Chocolate Gold Bunny from Lindt for Easter. I downloaded the craft instruction and made a chocolate rice crispy rabbit face on a stick. The chocolate rice crispy tasted really nice. When the Lindt chocolate bunny arrive at my door step, it look really pretty. It even had a red ribbon and a bell tie on the neck. The chocolate was absolutely delicious. I had a lovely chocolate Easter feast.

  • Two video camcorders!

I won two pocket camcorders in the space of a month through comps I found on ThePrizefinder.

In January, I started entering comps that required a video entry as a result of ThePrizefinder and I was using a small pocket camera and an ancient video camera. The quality of the recordings was not brilliant, so I started looking for comps for a new camcorder.

I won a comp in Sixtyplussurfers online magazine for a very sturdy, shockproof, waterproof HD combined video camcorder and camera and then a couple of weeks later, I won a comp with 3D Pirates Science Adventure film, which was a bloggie 3D combined camera and camcorder.

The effects of the 3D cmaera take some getting used to, so, all I need now is to win a 3D TV, so I can watch my video creations on a decent size screen!

I am now eagerly looking for more video comps so I can use my new cameras.

  • Amazing Hair Care

I recently received an email from a lovely lady at yourhair.com. Every year they test hair products and publish the winners in every category. The competition was to win all of the winners and I did!

After I had sent a reply to the mail I called the number and spoke to her. She arranged next day delivery by courier to my home. Four large boxes arrived which took me over 2 and a half hours to unpack! I received fabulous hairdryers, straighteners (the GHD ones were the reason that I had entered), wigs, hair pieces, brushes and more shampoo, conditioners and styling products than you could imagine.
I have had enormous fun sharing the goodies with my family and friends, which for me is one of the best things about comping.

  • Wonderful Paris

I have just come back from an amazing trip to Paris which I won last year from Virgin Media website which included flights from our local airport, transfers, one years insurance, two nights in a wonderful hotel including all you can eat breakfast and to top it off £250 spending money. We chose to go last weekend for our 24th wedding anniversary and managed to fit so much in to our weekend. We saw all the sights, cruised down the Seine and on the Saturday night we had the best meal out I have ever had - it was even better than Claridges which i was lucky enough to win a meal at a couple of years ago. The organisers were really good and thought of everything to make sure we had a brilliant trip, and we did, it was fantastic.
