Meet Our Latest Winners!

I started comping last year in the summer. I never thought I would win anything but I thought I would try it out for a couple of months and see how it went. After a month and a half I finally got my first win -
Shampoo and conditioner which I got to choose from a like and share competition on Facebook.
After that I won an iPod nano from Old Jamaica, I was sooo excited by now I was hooked.
Since then I have won £100 bar tab, Kindle, a Google Nexus tablet and lots of other wins.
I'm so glad I took up comping because I have won a few things that I otherwise couldn't afford.

I started doing a few competitions just before Christmas (mainly on Facebook as I'm always on there!) , Advent ones and a few others and to my utter disbelief I won an iPhone 5 in a photo competition! I couldn't believe it. I have never won anything EVER! I was ecstatic, what a prize! My friends all thought that you could never win in these competitions but I proved them wrong! I even won 2 things on one day once and it gave me the confidence to carry on! My best advise is to keep trying - you gotta be in it to win it is sooo true. I have tried to do more on Twitter, and some where a little more effort is required, not just answering a question, like the photo comps. I kept going and won these prizes in December and throughout January:

I have been entering daily for months and months, and hadn't won anything for ages! Was beginning to wonder what I was doing, wasting my time and getting nothing back, but kept on going anyway.

I tend to do the ones 'ending today' and a few Facebook like and share ones. I also usually avoid rafflecopter and blog comps as they take a lot of time for a prize that's usually small, but I decided to go for those ones too.

On Wednesday, I got a book throught the post. Then on Thursday I got a winning email for a pair of glasses, (from a blog competition that normally I would have ignored) and on Friday, a winners announcement on Facebook letting me know I had won a bag!

Moral of the story? Don't give up, even when you think all is lost. And make the extra effort to enter competitions that you wouldn't normally enter. The first blog comp I tried, I won, so it's worth a go!

A couple of weeks ago I decided to enter a few competitions, just to fill in a little time and hopefully win a couple of things. My ambition pretty much extended to winning a couple of fridge magnets, money off vouchers and various pens. Imagine my surprise when after only a couple of weeks I won £70 worth of portable solar charger. I'm a very happy chap. Thanks to ThePrizefinder for helping me.

This January has been a little quiet than most months but I've still had some lovely wins. I've won

The best item I have won this month was a snugglebundl worth £40 just because I entered my name and address. If you do start comping and it's a little quiet, don't give up, you will win!

After having a little moan to my brother at Christmas that I hadn't really won a lot in 2012 I have now had to eat my words. Had a fantastic January winning

I have really enjoyed comping in January, now the MAdvents are all over and done with!!
I have tried to do more Twitter, a bit less Facebook, tried searching for lower entry contests and some where a little effort is required. I also took advice to enter early. This paid off with entering the Aptaclub toddler in a trolley picture comp. I saw it listed on ThePrizeFinder Facebook page, took the photo at Tesco the day before it started and entered Day 1. I won the first day! A £50 shoes voucher. I was really chuffed.
Another great win this month has been a blog comp, where I entered daily. I won a Cosatto pushchair worth over £200. I love it.
I won a Madagascar Live family ticket on a twitter comp with very low entry too.
Today I won 5 Young Driver Lessons for my eldest son. The kids are really doing well this month!!

I had 26 wins this month and I'm chuffed, the best being a pair of ugg boots and shimla bracelet, but I've also won signed books, several bottles of beer, mugs, DVDs, a hat, a belt, nail art, just to name a few. I'm well pleased and it's all down to the great competition sites that we have. Thank you.

So it's a year to the day since I discovered 'comping' and started entering all different types of competitions. I consider that I have been amazingly lucky and have had some great wins including a pre-Bafta makeover, festival tickets, a microwave, jewellery and most recently a marmalade making kit to name a few. My favourite competitions tend to be postcard and text competitions but I will try anything and I'm definitely after that 'big' win!

Lots of my friends ask how I win so many and I always point them in your direction. So, thank you so much ThePrizefinder, I would be lost without you.

Since my last story, I've been more active in my competition entering and I've now won Animal Circus wall stickers for my little boy's nursery, a jumper via SheLikes twitter #freebiefriday competition (pictured), a Kingsmill travel flask via their instant win comp on Facebook, a pack of 9-bar cereal bars via their daily Facebook comp, a teething blanket from MAM and a hooded baby towel - all in the month of January! Can't believe it. I had a dry spell for about a week where I felt a bit deflated but it's true; it really will pick up!
