  • Well I've Gone And Done It Again

    Thursday, October 27, 2011

Well I've gone and done it again, my second win in 3 weeks.

I've just heard that I've won two Tickets to the Footman James Classic Car and Classic Motorbike Show at Birmingham's NEC as a driver of a classic car ( A Panama Yellow 1962 Ford Popular). I was delighted to hear I've won these tickets and will not miss this show for anything.

I have only missed one past Classic car show since they first started years ago, and only then because I was in hospital having an operation. This is a great place to take your children so they can see cars from the age when cars were cars and made to last. You can actually sit in some of the motors and take photographs, plus the stands give away loads of free stuff to kids, such as balloons, brochures, photos, hats and loads more.

I seem to do well when free tickets are involved but as yet i've won nothing big, but they say things come in 3's so maybe I've another win to come?

  • Comping Kitty Gets A Prize

    Monday, October 24, 2011

I started comping again in October this year after a long break. I had my first win a week ago after only a few days of entry and then to top it off I got an email later in the same week saying I'd won first prize in another competition.

It spurred me on to enter more competitions and now I find that I just can't stay away. My second win came just in time as the prize was £50 worth of Holtztiger animals and my friend has just announced she's pregnant so I've offered the prize to her.

Thank you ThePrizefinder for reminding me what a fun hobby comping is. My hubby laughs at how addictive I find it...but I can bet he'll be glad if we get a bigger win.

  • I've won a £500 chandelier and more in just 2 months!

I wanted to tell you how pleased I am with The prizefinder.com.
I have only had broadband at home for two months and have started entering competitions every day.

This month, I have won a £500 chandelier found in a Period Living comp in the Closing Soon section. It was made especially for me and hand delivered - all I need now is to win a big house to do it justice! On the same day that it arrived I won 2 cinema tickets and 2 bowling tickets too.

I have always liked entering competitions, and have had some good wins in the past, such as Le Creuset cookware which was also through Prizefinder, a set of golf clubs and a year's supply of Dove and Pantene.

Even small prizes give you a thrill when the package drops through the door and the old saying- 'you have to be in it to win it' is very true and I would like to say to everyone that ordinary folk do win so keep trying!

  • 3 months of winning

    Friday, October 7, 2011

I started to enter comps about 3 months ago, mainly using Theprizefinder. Since I started, I have won many competitions including meeting LMFAO, a signed Example sampler album, Blu ray films, T-shirts and sweets. The best thing I have won since entering has been the chance to be the face of a nationwide advertisment campagain.

I am a housewife and entering comps is more than a hobby now! Times are hard and everything I have won has gone to a good home, and we are thankful.

Theprizefinder has given us so much, I would like to encourage anyone new to this site to keep at it. You will soon find you're on a roll!

  • The Motorhome and Caravan Show

    Wednesday, October 5, 2011

I have just won my second competition in 4 weeks.

I have just received my prize from the Full House Magazine competition - 2 tickets to see The Motorhome and Caravan show at the NEC in Birmingham

This is a great show as Motorhomes, Caravans and Tenting holidays seem to be getting more popular as the cost of living and travel goes up,and this show has something for everyone no matter what size your wallet is.

Camping use to be for the tough, strong and hardy types, but these days the camp sites are open all year round and most have luxury heated shower blocks, and the bigger and better sites having Shops, entertainment, clubroom and childrens facilities.

So why don't you think of having a camping holiday in the future and maybe investing in a tent, caravan or motorhome?

Thanks you Laura Keens at Full House Magazine for my complimentry tickets, I will be going to the show and fully enjoy my day out like I do every year there.

  • Loads of small wins

As a teenager I used to enter lots of postal prize-draws of which I had moderate success then as an adult, with less free-time, I gave up on competitions for some years.

A couple of years ago, with my youngest child growing up, I found that I had more time to enter competitions again and discovered how easy it was to enter online.

With the use of this site to find competitions and the use of an auto-fill programe to fill in my details entering prize-draws has become quick and easy, I don't even have to pay out for postage stamps anymore.

As of yet I have had no large wins but have had dozens of small prizes, everything from DVD's, books, electricals, toys, clothes and my latest win of £100 iTunes vouchers.

Despite not getting that large win (yet) I still am very happy with these results, I only enter competitions where the prizes would be wanted either by myself or another member of my household so it is always great when a prize arrives.

I will carry on entering competitions hoping for that large prize but until then will enjoy whatever else I may be lucky enough to get.

  • Comping Crazy!

I started entering competitions using The Prize Finder when I was at uni and have had some great wins during the last two years.
    They include ...

    - 60 bottle of Bottle Green drink for my wedding
    - Tickets to see Razorlight
    - Tickets to War and Peace show at the Hop Farm
    - Mini rechargable speakers
    - iDream DAB radio
    - Dog lead and collar
    - Numerous books, dvds, goodie bags and chocolates

and the best one a Sony E-Reader for reading digital books!

I always follow the tips on the website and enter competitions that require some effort like a story, catchphrase or photo, and my best wins have come from the websites of local newpapers and radio stations.

The photo shows me receiving my Sony Ereader prize from my local county councillor and radio presenter!

  • The very first competition I entered on ThePrizeFinder and I WON!

    Saturday, September 10, 2011

I entered my very first competition on ThePrizeFinder which was the Mitsubishi i-MiEV - the pure electric car with zero tailpipe emissions. Sadly I didn't win the car but I won a runner up prize - 2 tickets for the eco show at Battereas power station. I had a fabulous day there seeing some electric cars of the future and much more.

  • New comper with some good wins!

    Sunday, August 21, 2011

I started comping a couple of months ago, after winning a holiday in a comp which I had forgotten about. Since then, I have won, a BBQ, hunter Wellies, Festival Tickets, Picnic Rug, a tent, digital camera, Magic Family picnic day and other little bits and pieces. I wasn't expecting to win so much so quickly. Love the fact that all the comps are in one place here and you can decide to enter either new comps or ones closing soon or even for a specific type of prize. Would recommend it to anyone, you can win things, you just have to enter and be persistent! The best advice I have been given is just to enter them and forget about it! Then if you win its a nice bonus. I went 2-3 weeks with no wins, and then got 3 in the same day last week! Go for it - you have nothing to lose, and if you're worried about load of spam e-mails, most give you the option to opt out of receiving future mailings. I do this most of the time and it hasn't affected me winning prizes as far as I can tell.

  • I entered competitions for about 5 days

    Saturday, August 20, 2011

I decided to start entering online competitions in June because when I was a child, I used to enter postal competitions in the backs of magazines like 'Bunty', etc. I won one once but I wasn't sure if anyone really wins internet competitions or not.

I was only entering competitions for about 5 days because my laptop broke and I didn't manage to get it fixed until last week. However about 2 weeks ago when I had completely forgotten about the competitions I entered, it was SO long ago I had just assumed that I hadnt won any. Well....I got 2 parcels through the post.

I had won 2 small prizes in competitions - a novel and a box set of the TV show 'Archer'.

So now my laptop is fixed, I am definitely entering more.
