Meet Our Latest Winners!

I started using this website around October last year. Its brilliant - so easy to use. I'm hooked!

I've won a couple of little things now - my latest being some Apostle face serum worth around £42. I'm hoping for a facial miracle. I also won a pair of tickets to a 'MTV brand new' event in London.

I haven't won anything yet this year - a holiday would be great. Whatever happens, I'll keep trying and hope for bigger and better things.

I had such a great year of win in 2012 and have mentioned some of them in earlier posts. My favourite recent win was a trip to the National Book Awards and an overnight stay in London. It was a full red carpet event with champagne flowing all evening and a host of celebs. I took my daughter Katrina with me and we were well looked afer by Specsavers the promotors of the comp. We met Dave from Hairy Bikers, Gok, Lorraine Kelly and Ian Randal to name just a few. I won this via a twitter comp, you had to write a book review in 140 characters. Prizefinder lists all the latest twitter comps and I got a message today to say I had won a pair of wedge wellies. Great, can't wait to get them and what good timing with snow forecast. I had posted on pinterest that I have never won wellies but would really like to and weyhey I win some! A spa day for two from Barclaycard via a Facebook comp was my win last week so do try lots of different competitions. Family cinema tickets came via a twitter party and some wine via a blog win. Lots of luck everyone.

January has started quietly but with three "pressies" already arriving (and its only the 17th) I'm very pleased. First was a necklace from Turquoise Weddings Advent Calendar, next was a small box of Belgium Chocs from My Travel, and third was a super Galt Pirate Pursuit Game (complete with wind-up Galleon) from Mature Times Online. We've just won a runner's up prize in the Hotel Transylvania movie comp, sponsored by Zing carbonated fruit drink. We received a Murray soft toy, a stationery set and 8 cases of Zing (I've never heard of it before but it tastes very nice, and counts as one of your five a day!)

I entered quite a lot of the Christmas comps and after the New Year I assumed that all the winners had been notified and nothing more would come of them. However on the 4th of Jan a big box arrived in the post and I couldn't quite remember ordering anything so I wondered what it was. I opened it with my 11 year old son not knowing what I might find and as I opened it we both said "Woooah!" when we realised it was an X-box 360 with Kinect! An absolutely fabulous surprise! The accompanying letter said I had backed a winning Reindeer from the Flora Reindeer races comp on Facebook! I was absolutely amazed as I had no idea, it made my day and the kids were delighted as they had been nagging me for an X-box for ages, but I had told them that I wasn't going to waste nearly £300 on another console when we already had a Wii & a PS3!
I had always heard stories of people having nice wins just turn up in the post, but this was the first time that it's happened to me so it made a lovely surprise start to the year!

I'm not new to comping however I am new to the site. Like many working parents, I started comping after the kids went to school and before I went to work. It's been profitable and rewarding over the last 4 years and I havent paid for holidays in that time.
I happened on ThePrizefinder last year by chance and saw a TV comp mentioned. Like most, I thought "Lottery odds", no chance of winning, however I did enter that and found some more which I also entered on a wing and a prayer.
The end result was a telephone call from ITV one morning infoming me I had won a luxury 5 star break to New York for 6 people worth around £20,000 and £20,000 cash. I was speechless!
I would encourage people to carry on, there are lean times, I haven't had one win so far this year but I bagged £43,470 last year and averaged several thousand a year. What other hobby gets you meeting the famous, meals, weekend breaks, holidays and huge cash prizes?
Needless to say I am now signed up and looking forwards to blowing it on 5th Avenue this April!

I used to enter competitions a year or 2 back and won only 2 small prizes, but due to circumstances I had to stop. Since the 3rd of Jan I have started again. On the 7th I won a Halo's and Horns comp and received a package full of bubble baths, body washes, lotions and tooth paste for children. Then on the 8th I won a £50 voucher for M&S. I couldn't believe I had won 2 in 2 days. I was over the moon. Both of them were twitter comps which at first I never bothered with, but now I'm glad I started with them. It's an amazing feeling to win and now I'm hooked.

I am new to comping and like to enter Facebook competitions through The Prize finder when I have spare time. I entered a comp on Andrex Washlets recently to be the face of their new advert...well too my surprise I had an email saying I had won. The advert was on ITV 1 on sat night at 9pm - prime time TV :-) Everyone thought it was hilarious!! Ths has spurred me on now. You can win ...I'm going to aim for a prize next!

After entering alot of advent competitions in December I had become a little disheartened. I had only managed to win a Pringles speaker (which most people got!) and there were stories everywhere of peoples' great wins! I had a phone call last week to say I had won the runner up prize for a competition run by gurgle which was a baby thermometer worth £22. Lets hope this is the first win of many for 2013.

Last Easter, Waitrose ran a competition to win a cookery day at the Waitrose cookery school for two. The prize included £200 of travelling expenses. My son and I travelled to London the night before and stayed over so that we could have an early start. We had a really wonderful time. We cooked a 3 course lunch for ourselves and in the afternoon we also had a cooking demonstration in the Lecture theatre. We had a fantastic day out and we learnt a lot about food and cooking that day.
Waitrose also made a video on that day. So we were followed around by the by a couple of videographers and an interviewer. It was all great fun. If there is another competition at Waitrose cooking school this year, I hope to win it again.
