Our October Wins

Submitted by SuperluckyDi on Mon, 2012-10-01 11:20

Well, I just got back from a week in sunny Spain yesterday and it seems Autumn has arrived while I've been away! I don't know about you, but once we get to October I'm usually on a bit of a mission with the Christmas list - I ask all the family early on what they want and I try and win as much as I can to put in their stockings!

This month of course we also have Halloween which will mean loads of fun creative comps on Facebook and Twitter - I'll be keeping an eye out for all those and telling you about them as soon as I spot them.

No real biggies for any of us to report on last month's September Wins post, although there were still lots of nice prizes! xxme2uxx won a hard drive, RSteve won some professional make up brushes (not for him, of course!) lil_devil won a year's supply of Monster Energy drink to help with those late night comping sessions and babz229 won some wellies - very handy!. And caza29 won her very first prize of a year's Interflora flowers - how lovely to win a prize that lasts 12 whole months! Well done everyone.

Good luck for October - don't forget to upload photos and tell us your Winners Story for a chance to win a £50 voucher in our monthly prize draw - the odds of winning are really good!

My wins this month:
Pyrex set - Just Milk Facebook comp
Family set of theatre tickets - local newsletter
£200 Fish is the Dish goodies - prize draw
Top Ten Horror Films - Solopress Instagram comp
£20 cash - WKD
£25 F+F vouchers plus craft goodies - Tesco colouring comp
Theo kids book - Facebook

Total = £430

Well, the month of October isn't even a day old yet and I've already racked up a couple of wins.

First up was an email from Mountain Dew to tell me that I've won a copy of HALO 4 on Xbox 360 - this is from a current promotion on their bottles. Second up is a selection of merchandise from the new Will Ferrell movie "Campaign" courtesy of Cineworld on Twitter. Can I make it a hat-trick of wins before the day is out? ^_^

i have just missed a parcel from interlink and is trying to rearrange a new delivery at my parents address however it says i have to contact the sender to do this but i dont know who sent it. (love a mystery parcel) it also says i have to change it within 5 days. i am not in my home till wednesday next week. i am thinking if i do it tomorrow it will be fine. i have tried them to see who sent ti but its all automated and also they dont leave it in recycling bins. any advice???

Try googling for the depot number first thing tomorrow, you should be able to talk to a real person who can find your parcel and give you a clue who sent it!

What a lovely post - thanks Linda and so happy to hear you're doing well! Personally I find that so many of my prizes make perfect Christmas prezzies for the family, and as you say every little helps. Hope your lucky spell continues!

I've had a few dry months so you can imagine how thrilled I was when I found out that I've won a 3-night trip to Florence with Galbani cheese! The competition was a simple 'enter your details' type, with thousands entering probably, so I feel very very lucky! Last year I won weekends trips but travelling was never included so it's an absolute bonus that in this cae, we don't have to worry about it. Also, a one-day cooking course, insurance and a bit of spending money, yay!!! We've discovered that the hotel is quite far away from florence itself so we are planning to book 2 nights in the city with the spending money and celebrate hubby's birthday while we are there! He really deserves a lovely treat and I am just so glad that thanks to this win, I can give him a real treat!!!

Also, I've won a piece of jewellry, thanks to a tag from a friend. I haven't even entered the competition but she tagged 3 friends and she was chosen, so I am really grateful for that too, Michaela! :)
