Hello everyone! How was your weekend, any nice wins to report? A few bits here including another chocolate bar on the Cadbury Win a Banger instant, and a toiletries bag from the Air France instant win. Still not at full comping speed at the moment, as am too busy trying to get ahead with work and organisation before the Christmas festivities hit us! How about you, are you managing to get much comping in? Hard to believe this time next week it will be December 1st – eek! Are you prepared for the advents? I think I am, but I am sure it will be a whole different story next Monday morning haha!
As part of our ongoing improvements and in preparation for the advents being almost upon us, The PrizeFinder has made some great little tweaks to the website, and specifically how competitions are listed.
Daily Entry Competitions:
When you log into the Home Page now you should notice some differences in the left hand menu - specifically under the “Competitions by Frequency” category. Before, we used to list competitions as Daily, Weekly or Monthly. However, we were noticing more and more blog and social media competitions that offer daily entry options via Rafflecopter or Gleam apps, and also some Facebook comps that allow you to enter daily and refer friends for extra entries too. So, we thought it would be a good idea to mark all these competitions as “Daily Entry”, so that you know you can enter them more than once, and they show on your feed daily too, unless you have pressed the “ignore” button associated with the comp. In addition to this, we now also split out all the Instant Win competitions from the Daily Prize competitions. This should hopefully make it easier for you to organise your time, and allow you to enter only those competitions you are really interested in. If you are a blog owner and submit competitions to us regularly, you can now also tick the “daily entry” box when you add a competition – making it even easier for people to enter your competitions every day.
Prior to this week it was quite conceivable to log onto The PrizeFinder in the evening to have a comping session, only to find that a proportion of the competitions listed in your feed as ending today actually end tomorrow, but before midnight. Or even to find competitions that have already ended earlier in the day – this was particularly true of Twitter comps, which tend to end before midnight. This should no longer be a problem, as from now on when a competition specifies a closing time, other than 23:59 or midnight, we will add this to the competition listing for you. Not only does this give you a tool to manage your time with – allowing you to enter competitions before they end, and in the case of Twitter competitions, as close to the end as possible – but as soon as the competition has ended it will be removed from the site and archived. This means your feed won’t be full of competitions that have already ended, and means you can focus on your comping more.
I hope these changes will make your comping even easier and more efficient. If you have any other suggestions of possible changes you would like considered, do drop me a message in the comments below.
Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky Dust to you all!
This is great thanks kirsty x

That's great to hear that the site is running smoother for you now - fab! Yes, think we will all have Repetitive Strain injuries by the end of December! Good luck! xx

I have just seen on facebook that I have won a phone from Karbonn on their daily #sharethesparkle competition! I am hoping it will be suitable for my grandaughter for Xmas. That is great as Advent hasn't even started yet!
I am particularly pleased as I did NOT share the comp to public following comments from "friends" about all the comps I entered!
This is great thanks kirsty x
