Next week will be my last at The PrizeFinder! After two and a half years, I’ve decided it’s time for a change. I‘m keen to spend more time comping and blogging at SuperLucky - so you’ll definitely still see me around.

You might be wondering who will be taking over my role at The PrizeFinder and I’m delighted to introduce you to two keen compers - Jo (TPF_Jo) and Kirsty (TPF_Kirsty). Kirsty will be taking the reins at the PrizeFinder blog, and Jo will be running the social media side of things on Facebook and Twitter.

Here’s a little more info on our new team members:

Kirsty is a mum to two girls and lives on the Isle of Wight - she’s been comping for over ten years.

"Last year I managed to win prizes over to the value of £4,500, including my favourite win which happened right at the end of the year! I won a £2,500 Louis Vuitton briefcase from pokerlistings.com, but they couldn't get the particular product in stock. After many days of wrangling and negotiations (including having to speak to someone quite high up in the company in Malta!) the promoter finally agreed that I could choose my prize in vouchers to the value of £2,500! I chose John Lewis vouchers and have had lots of fun spending them and treating my family. My comping goal this year is to win a holiday - be it a one night break for me and my hubby (who never got a honeymoon when we married 5 years ago), or a family holiday for us all!

I tend to stick to traditional prize draws as well as lots of Facebook and Twitter comps, but have started branching out into more creative comps using food and photos. I haven't had any successes for these yet, but that's another comping goal for 2014!"

And Jo admits she is totally obsessed with comping, having been doing it for 20 years!

"After only 3 months of entering comps, I had my very first win (a dishwasher) from a tiebreaker competition, and from then on I was hooked!

It’s a hobby I’ve been able to fit in around my work and home life, and my friends & family have been more than happy to benefit from some fantastic prizes... from the ‘money can’t buy’ film premieres, some amazing holidays – New York, St Lucia and Paris, to name but a few, down to the smaller prizes like DVD’s & shopping vouchers which are always very welcome & still just as exciting to win!

It’s hard to pick a favourite from all the wins, but the Morrisons/Breakfast at Tiffanys competition would take some beating! We were flown out to New York for 4 nights, treated to breakfast at Gordon Ramsays, then whisked off to Tiffanys and handed a gift card for $10,000...every girl’s dream! Our personal shopper guided us through the shop and helped us pick out some wonderful jewellery for ourselves and our lads, and we were treated like VIP’s – an experience we shall never forget!

I love the fact that as a comper you never know what you’ll end up doing next.... I’ve had my picture taken next to the World Cup, I’ve had meet & greets with celebrities, and I once won a London cab for a day & decided to do the ‘Monopoly Tour’ which meant visiting every place on the Monopoly board...it was a great fun family day out! I think my oddest prize has to be the 10kg ‘wheel’ of cheese I won – which was shared with our friends & family!

I started using The PrizeFinder around 10 years ago, as I love how easy it is to search for the type of prizes I am interested in winning - whether by category, prize or frequency - the comp tracker is also invaluable as it keeps a record of everything I’ve entered. Comping is constantly evolving, with new methods of entry appearing all the time, so I love to try and keep up to date with the new apps and social media channels. I shall be searching out some great competitions for everyone to enter, and I’m really looking forward to hearing about all your wins!”

A warm welcome to the team ladies! I’ll be signing off at the end of next week - thank you for all your messages, comments and emails since 2011. It’s been so much fun working here at The PrizeFinder, and you can still expect to see me back here and on the Facebook page sharing my future wins with you all!
