Lucky New Year: Jan 1st

Submitted by SuperluckyDi on Tue, 2013-01-01 07:22

Every day for the first week of 2013 we're giving away a £10 Amazon voucher - and every time you enter one of our daily comps, you'll also get an entry into our grand prize draw to win a fabulous KINDLE FIRE HD!

Today is our first competition and as it's the first day of a brand new year, we'd like to know what your comping resolution is. Here are some ideas:

• Registering for Pinterest or Instagram
• Trying some creative competitions
• Setting up Google Alerts to find competitions for your dream prizes
• Visiting the 'new competitions' section daily on the PrizeFinder - instead of the 'closing soon' one!
• Making home-made postcards for postal entry competitions
• Starting a spreadsheet to record your wins
• Subscribing to a new magazine (how about Compers News?!)
• Listening to the radio and texting/calling in for on-air comps
• Applying for TV gameshows
• Entering more text competitions

To enter today's competition, make sure you're registered with The PrizeFinder and logged in to your account - then leave a comment on this post telling us your comping resolution. We have an approval process so your comment won't appear straight away, but as long as you post it before midnight you'll be in the draw!

Don't forget, every entry you make into our daily competitions gives you one entry into the grand prize draw for a Kindle Fire HD!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS - January 1st daily competition
1. Open to UK residents aged 18 or over
2. Entrants must be registered PrizeFinder users and comment on this blog post with their comping related resolution

My comping resolution is to get myself organised and stop buying qualifiers and then leaving it too late to post the entry form off.

To be more creative with my competition entries. i am always inspired by Di's entries and think that it would be fun to try out more of these. I also will try to avoid entering any vote competitions as they are so unfair

To organise myself a bit better, I like to enter the comps with a little more effort but always end up doing them on the last minute. I'm sure my enteries would be better if i put a little more time into the effort comps.

I'm going to set aside 30 minutes every day for Comps. Too often I Blitz them over several hours at the weekend, A more regular methodical approach will let me find more suitable comps, and give me more time to think about the skill ones!

Save the money I usually spend on the lottery and spend it instead on comps that need qualifiers. Better chance of success, I think!

I'm going to make more use of this site, thus creating more winning opportunities for myself!

I don't make resolutions, but if I had to make one it would be to actually win something! Been comping for years and not won a thing, so my time must be near!

I want to stop waiting til the last minute to enter draws and then finding out i could have entered every day! I also need to get the hang of Twitter - really cant understand the whole 'hash tag' thing - maybe i am getting old!

To restrict my entries to things I actually need or want and to share competitions with my friends when I see things they would love to have.

To enter competitions for at least 1 hour each day and to try and keep away from voting competitions hate cheats and to be more selective in the competitions I enter prize wise

To stockpile my creative efforts, just in case I find a comp that meets the brief. I'm determined to win a prize for my mum of flights to Germany as that's where she is from, she s a Jehovah's Witness so I hardly ever get to give her a present! ;)

I am going to try more photo comps. I had a bit of luck in 2012 and am going to try for the bigger prizes this year.

To be selective and not too greedy, but any vouchers coming my way would be very gratefully received

To be more selective because last year i was winning things i would never use. Also look more local for cmpetitions as often there isent the amount of entries. Most important to enjoy the comps and not feel they are a chore xxxx

To enter a creative competition once a week and to focus on winning a break - overnight or a luxury holiday - I don't mind!

To make a list and check off my wins - but really to enjoy this great hobby and not to get stressed when I don't win!

To read up on photography comps in advance so I can take specific photos rather than realising I haven't got time to trawl through all my photos at the last minute. I'm also planning to organise my photos a bit better with a view to competition entries.
