Lucky New Year: Jan 1st

Submitted by SuperluckyDi on Tue, 2013-01-01 07:22

Every day for the first week of 2013 we're giving away a £10 Amazon voucher - and every time you enter one of our daily comps, you'll also get an entry into our grand prize draw to win a fabulous KINDLE FIRE HD!

Today is our first competition and as it's the first day of a brand new year, we'd like to know what your comping resolution is. Here are some ideas:

• Registering for Pinterest or Instagram
• Trying some creative competitions
• Setting up Google Alerts to find competitions for your dream prizes
• Visiting the 'new competitions' section daily on the PrizeFinder - instead of the 'closing soon' one!
• Making home-made postcards for postal entry competitions
• Starting a spreadsheet to record your wins
• Subscribing to a new magazine (how about Compers News?!)
• Listening to the radio and texting/calling in for on-air comps
• Applying for TV gameshows
• Entering more text competitions

To enter today's competition, make sure you're registered with The PrizeFinder and logged in to your account - then leave a comment on this post telling us your comping resolution. We have an approval process so your comment won't appear straight away, but as long as you post it before midnight you'll be in the draw!

Don't forget, every entry you make into our daily competitions gives you one entry into the grand prize draw for a Kindle Fire HD!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS - January 1st daily competition
1. Open to UK residents aged 18 or over
2. Entrants must be registered PrizeFinder users and comment on this blog post with their comping related resolution
3. There is one prize of a £10 Amazon voucher
4. The closing date for entries is Tuesday 1 January 2013 at 23.59.
5. The winner will be selected at random and informed by email within 7 days of the closing date.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Kindle Fire HD prize draw
1. Open to UK residents aged 18 or over
2. There is one prize of a Kindle Fire HD
3. Only one entry per person per daily draw - so a maximum of 7 entries in the grand prize draw per person
4. The winner will be selected at random from all daily entries across the week of competitions and informed by email or Twitter Direct Message within 7 days of the closing date.

I am going to make more days to hunt out those entry forms which may have fewer entrants eg slogan comps, oh and also to get the qualifiers in good time!

My comping resolution for 2013 is to keep trying - although I have been doing online competitions for nearly 2 years now and have won nothing - never give up!

I'd like to enter more competitions. Plus, I fancy my chance at winning more. I've won twice using the prize finder and I plan to win more and bigger this year! *crosses fingers*

My comping resolution is to make sure I check in on theprizefinder.com every day and make sure to enter all the comps of interest but also to make more of an effort to do the skill based ones as after checking out DiCoke's blog they just look like good fun and some great picture oppotunities even if you don't win.

I also need to set up a facebook account as that seems to be where I miss a lot of good comps just because I don't have an account.

My resolution would be to win more, but given that I have no say over that, my resolution will be to enter more, thus hopefully winning more!

In fact scrap that. My comping resolution would be to arrange trades with more compers so that they get things they wanted to win and I get rid of things I didn't really want to win instead of having a house full of unwanted, unused prizes :)

My resolution is to not get to caught up with winning, no checking emails every 2 mins or being disappointed if a delivery van drives by. I'm going to enjoy the entering (I've already started with lots more effort based and Pinterest comps) and make the most of my time to (hopefully) win some dream prizes. Good luck for the year everyone, I look forward to reading all your wins

I tried comping for two months and one lego minfig. I had pretty much given up, then I won a £1000 bike from one of the competitions I entered. Therefore I am back with the aim of winning an expresso, kindle fire, Ipad, and a kitchen.

My Comping resolution for this year is to simply persevere in entering competitions and have a positive attitude about it.If i don`t win it`s not the end of the world, there will surely be other opportunities to win a prize.

As one or two others have already said, mine is to be more selective in what I enter, and as a result, free up more time to put thought into some of the tiebreaker competitions.

To try to be more selective as, despite entering 50%+ of those available, all I've come away with in 2012 is a Weetabix Tin and a copy of the Famous5 on DVD!!!

To try and enter more competitions. 2012 wasn't a very good year for wins!

Pop to the post box every time I have postal entries to send instead of leaving them lying around the house until after the closing date has passed!

I am going to try slogan competitions as I don't have a go at these at the moment.
