Merry Christmas from The PrizeFinder!

We're sure you'll agree that 2013 has been a mega busy year for compers! Here at The PrizeFinder we welcomed thousands of new members, many of them drawn to comping after seeing successful winners showing off their prize hauls on the TV and in national newspapers.

Over the last few months we've heard from plenty of newbies saying how much they love their new hobby - it seems lots of you have won at least one Christmas present! This month we've added over 400 daily Advent competitions to the site, and have been delighted to hear about your December wins both on the blog and the Winners Page.

Christmas is always a quiet time for compers, with promoters taking a break over the festive period before they launch new competitions and prize draws in January. Steve and I will taking a break too - we'll still be around on Facebook, Twitter and email to answer your questions but there won't be many new competitions being listed until we return in the New Year.

We will be back with a bang though! On January 1st we'll be launching a week of 'Lucky New Year' competitions here on The PrizeFinder blog – each day there will be a £10 Amazon voucher up for grabs, and we'll be giving away £100 cash to the winner of the grand prize draw, chosen at random from all entries. Enter daily to increase your chance of winning - £100 could come in handy to pay off that January credit card bill!

If you find yourself itching to comp over the Christmas holidays when there are fewer comps to enter, here are our tips on keeping busy:

  • Learn how to use something new - Instagram and Pinterest competitions are vey low entry, and our Comping Guides should help!
  • Write down your prize wish list - what would you like to win in 2014? A Pinterest board is great for a visual reference
  • Spend time searching Facebook and Twitter and following/liking your local radio stations, restaurants, magazines and entertainment venues - you might find some low entry competitions!
  • Take photos of Christmas dinner, Christmas jumpers, Christmas decorations and the Christmas tree - then you'll be prepared super early for the 2014 comps!

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas break - and I'll see you back here on 1st January for #LuckyNewYear!

Thank you for all your hard work and providing this service.
I am one of the new ones who has found this addictive hobby only early this year and did not think I would win a thing and thought competition winners were either in house or fake... How wrong was I?!?
This site has changed my cynical negative mindset to a optimistic positive one. As when I began I said 'I'll give it a year and if I don't win anything, I will stop.'
Given the fact I have won a few times don't care how small... I WON! So looks like prizefinder is stuck with me for a good while. :-)

Thanks again
Happy Christmas and New year to you all!

Merry Christmas to everyone at The Prizefinder.

I won my first competition with you in June 2003 and it's been a fun decade since with plenty of wins and a few nice ones too.

Keep up the excellent work.

Thanks again.

Here's wishing everyone who uses the site good luck for 2014 too.
