The sun's out - are you lucky enough to have a laptop or tablet that you can take outside for some al fresco comping? The Summery prizes are starting to pop up now - festival trips, barbecues, gardening goodies.... I'm moving house soon and I need to win a new fridge-freezer and dishwasher, so shout me if you see any good skill-based comps for those!

Thanks for all the contributions to last month's April Wins post. I managed to win a weekend in Milan plus £250 Amazon vouchers which are my two best wins this year so far!

So what were you all winning last month? wstevewells won a box of chocolates for his daughter - then scoffed the lot! jjandmattybb won a year's free shoes from Nelly, frilly_Tilly, kslade and xxme2uxx were lucky with the Instant Wins, HayleyDeakin won a bingo party, coffee machine and lots more. Lots of you won handbags, carolemmett and paul408091 both won Microscooters - and rudders won a weekend in Menorca. All in all, we had a pretty successful April I'd say!

Good luck for May folks - do tell us about your wins as a comment on this post, and don't forget you could also be our monthly £50 voucher winner if you upload a photo on our Winners Story page too. Last month lucky Karen Robertson won the £50 prize!

Having always been a casual competition enterer and have won things in the past such as the Pepsi Max XBOX 360 competition and one or two others - I stumbled across your site about this time last week. Having entered non-stop all week my very first prize hit my doormat this morning brought by the postie with no WEM so was a complete surprise. I won Journeyman the complete series on DVD via horror-asylum.com. Yippeee!

Just got one of the Bakers dog bowls, I'm entering this every day to try and get as many as I can for my local shelter. My two dogs are too big for these bowls really. Even if you don't have a dog you can try to win some bowls to donate to a good cause...

Hi all

I've had a few small wins - Red Ted art book, Music download and a years subscription to a reading magazine and I love my comping hobby.

I have one question for everyone...I don't have a facebook account, my husband and I just don't really bother with it. Is it worth setting one up. I used to have one but it got deactivated as I just wasn't using it but so many people seem to have really good luck with competitions on there. Just wanna see what peoples advice is...I hate thinking that I'm missing out as some of the really good competitions are facebook entry only.

Advice greatly appreciated.

I have a FB account that I only use for comping and nothing else. This goes against advice as some promoters don't like this and maybe I've lost wins because of it, but I've also had plenty of wins from FB, including my best one to date, £250 to spend with La Redoute. Also because of changes to FB regs "like and share" comps are dying out, and it's these more than any others that want you to have lots of "friends". Most of the FB cops I enter are exactly the same as the regular online ones, just using FB instead of a web page. I'd say it's worth it as FB accounts for about a quarter of my wins.

I would definitely set up a Facebook *and* a Twitter account, even if you only use them for comping! Consider adding a few active friends from PrizeFinder (you can add me at www.facebook.com/dicoke) to make your account look more real! I would recommend avoiding the Like & Share comps (FB will flag you as a spammer!) - try the dailies and instant wins we list on our Facebook page, and the 'app' comps we list here on the website. Facebook can be lots of fun!
