Submitted by SuperluckyDi on Mon, 2014-03-10 10:20

Mother's Day is on 30th March this year, and we're already starting to see lots of Mum themed comps appearing. Read on to find out how you could be winning a prize for you AND your mum here on our blog!

Mother's Day is one of those occasions where you see the same style of competition crop up every year - you might need to write a poem about your mum, or share a photo of the two of you. Make sure you save your entry somewhere safe as you may be able to recycle it for a competition next year. If you're pleased with your poem or photo, why not print it off and stick it in your Mother's Day card too?

Here are some of our favourite Mother's Day competitions this year:

  • Tell TK Maxx why you love your Mum on their Facebook post and you could win a £50 voucher (ends 20th March 2014)
  • Win an iPad with Laimon Fresh - find it in your local supermarket, take a Mother's Day themed photo featuring your can or bottle and upload to their Facebook page (ends 30th March 2014)
  • And a few easy entry prize draws:

  • Win tea for two at the Ritz with Treasurebox (ends 30th March 2014
  • Win three months of Bloom & Wild flower deliveries in the Menswearstyle prize draw  (ends 20th March 2014)
  • Win a cashmere scarf and bouquet in the Cashmere and Cotton prize draw (ends 26th March 2014)
  • At The Happy Foodie you can win their top ten cookbooks (ends 17th March 2014)
  • Fine Bedding Company are giving away a lovely Breakfast in Bed set - enter here (ends 24th March 2014)

WIN £25 M&S VOUCHERS FOR YOU AND YOUR MUM!

We're also running our own exclusive Mother's Day competition here on The PrizeFinder blog - the winner will receive a £25 M&S Voucher, and we'll also send a £25 voucher to the winner's Mum (if you prefer, we can send it to a special family member or friend). To enter, you need to log in to your PrizeFinder account and leave us a comment on this blog post telling us your favourite special memory of your mum. Your comment needs to be approved so it won't appear straight away!

We’ll draw the winner at random from all comments after the competition closes on March 26th.

My mum cooked and brought my favourite fish curry all the way from India when I was having pregnancy cravings. Isn't that unbelievably fantastic?

My Mum was very competitive in her younger years and did a lot of cycling. In the one and only road race she ever participated in she knocked over a cow! Mum is only 4ft 11in and very slight so I need to confirm that no animal was seriously injured!

My mum sadly passed away in 2000 but I always remember a particular thing that we used too do when I was very small. My mum would always be the one too tuck me into bed at night no matter what and every night I would ask her what I should dream about and she always had a great answer, its just a little memory that makes me smile when I think about her.

My mum was a sweet little old lady even when she was only middle aged! She suffered from rheumatoid arthritis which seemed to "shrink" her even more.
She loved to sew when she was able and I have a great memory of her sewing black tutus for four and twenty blackbirds, one of whom was my youngest sister. She has recently posted a photo of her in this tutu on facebook bringing back so many memories of days spent learning ballet and performing for friends.

My favourite memory is from when I was little. When it was summer we all used to play out on the front and she would always make everybody chips and wrap them up in cones made from newspapers. I know it sounds silly but they were the fond memories me and my friends have and we still talk about them to this day. I love the little things that you remember them by as this defines who they are. Thankyou

My special memory is of Mothers Day 2011. We took my mum to RHS WISLEY and had a lovely lunch out. Unfortunately it was her last Mothers Day as she had only a couple of weeks to live but she had a nice weekend as my brother visited her the next day and she had another day out!

My Mum had a stroke in 1979 and is still with us today.
In January she had her 80th birthday and we went to Glasgow for the day. We got her a balloon with 80 on it and everyone was wishing her a happy birthday. Many people were saying she didn't look over 60. She loved all the birthday wishes and compliments. Thanks to everyone for making her day.

My mother has sadly passed away but I remember with fondness her great sense of humour and how we would set each other off with the giggles-often at the wrong time. I laughed until I cried, which I have never experienced with anyone else. How I miss her.

Nearly 33 years ago my mum joined me and my husband on a narrowboat trip from Worcester to Marple, near Stockport, to help look after our six-week-old son. She ended up walking nearly all the way, with him in her arms, as it was the only thing that would stop him from crying!

My Mum receiving the MBE from Prince Charles in May 2004. Not every daughter can say that they watched their mum getting an award from Prince Charles, just after the Bee Gees getting their awards. How surreal!

My mum was always a bit "off the wall". I remember when I was sixteen she had an ambition to go naked parachuting! Luckily she never did but her nude sunbathing in our garden gave my brothers friends a bit of a shock.

She's quite clumsy and always makes me laugh. One time we were at a holiday camp and she sat down on a low fence which broke the moment she sat on it. Hilarious

My favourite memory of my mum is Christmas 1999. My 5 year old son and her were decorating the tree and I was videoing them having fun. Unfortunately she died suddenly in the New Year - I'm so glad I worked out how to use the camcorder!

I will never forget the day we lost our kitten, heard a thump coming from the tumble dryer and found her inside. Unfortunately my mum had turned the machine on and had tumbled dried the cat. The cat was fine after the vet was called to the house and has been fluffy ever since!

I will never forget the look on my Mums face when she came to the hospital and met my son (her first grandchild) for the first time just after I had given birth to him. It was magical and I could see the love pouring out of her.

When I was a boy my mum gave my warm coat to a cold Gypsy boy,
the concept of Christian Charity warmed my heart,
so I gave her best coat to a Gypsy lady a while later,
I was in the dog house for a week!

When I was 12 my mum took me on a 6 week adventure in the summer hols (leaving my dad at home because he had to work). We travelled to Italy by train, stopping in Paris, Milan, a small village in the northern Italian hills, Rome and Venice. It was fantastic, and I learned to speak a bit of Italian that has stayed with me until now over 40 years later. It was the first time either of us had gone abroad, and it gave me a thirst for travel and adventure that has stayed with me ever since.

unfortunately my mum died on mothers day in 1998. I remember her knitting cardigans for us, she'd start it as we went to bed and in the morning the finished cardigan would be ready for us to put on.

I remember years ago when my Mum and I pulled into a petrol station and were awaiting a free pump. In front of us an altercation between a man and woman escalated very quickly into an awful physical pounding of the woman by the man. It was horrific and I'd never seen anything like it. My Mum simply drove forward tooting her horn repeatedly then she got out the car and tore a strip off the offending man like nothing I've seen since. By then some other passers by had taken care of the injured lady. I was really proud my Mum made a difference. She got back in the car and merely said 'we don't stand for that!' Always feisty, always fair. Thanks Mum xxx

My favourite memory of my mother is that when I was very young and sleeping in a large cot my mother would lie down beside me on her bed and 'sing me to sleep' and just when she thought I was asleep, I wasn't and so she sang some more. I knew all the Nursery Rhymes and all the 2nd world war songs. My Dad was a soldier in the Buffs so mostly away. We lived with my gran.
