Hello everyone! How was your weekend, any nice wins to report? Can you believe that I am still waiting for my first June win – going through my worst dry spell in years! To top it all it was the Isle of Wight Festival at the weekend, and hubby and I must have entered hundreds of competitions between us to try and win tickets but all to no avail! We had to make do with catching a vague waft of music floating on the breeze, and catch up coverage on the TV – fail!
Still, at least the weather has been good the last few weeks, so can’t really complain. We have been able to get out and about as often as we can, and weekend activities really start to ramp up now here on the Island with the Round the Island Race at the end of the month and various other sailing events and festivals to go and see. It does mean that my comping time is taking a back seat again though, which is a drawback of the summer but one that I can deal with.
One thing I do love about the summer months is packing up a picnic and heading off for a Greer Mystery Tour. Nothing better than making a load of sandwiches, throwing them in a picnic hamper with crisps, homemade cakes, fruit and a flask of coffee and seeing where the road takes you – we always manage to stumble upon some great picnic spots this way! Did you know that this week (13-21 June 2015) is National Picnic Week – what better way to get the family outdoors for some al fresco dining and fun!
To celebrate The PrizeFinder has a fantastic exclusive competition for all our members to win a fabulous four person picnic hamper! The Buckingham Luxury Wicker Picnic Hamper comes complete with built in chiller compartment, blanket and enough plates, wine glasses and accessories to take four people on a picnic in comfortable style! To enter this competition you need to be a registered PrizeFinder member, logged into your account and leave me a blog comment below with what your picnic essentials are. For me it has to be homemade sausage rolls – infinitely more tasty and satisfying than the flabby shop bought varieties. One entry will be drawn at random after the closing date of 23:59 on Sunday 21st June 2015 – Good luck!

Sometimes if i plan ahead i add cooked pasta but usually it's lovely crusty bread. For pud we love flapjacks and bananas all washed down with a flask of tea . Everything tastes better on a picnic .xx

I love wraps with chicken tikka and salad, sour cream and chive crisps, strawberries and banana, followed by fresh orange juice. That's what I would like to take on my picnic.
A picnic has to have egg sandwiches and picnic eggs. I do love eggs!
Sausage rolls of course, pork pies (naturally), boiled eggs and salt cold beer and.... Vimto! No picnic is complete without a cup of vimto to wash down the nuts crisps and other salty goodies!
Ham Sandwiches and pork pies
Cheese and pineapple on sticks always go down a treat, ham sandwiches and chilled water.
My picnic essential is a newspaper to swat the wasps with! However, if you mean with regards to food then mini pork and pickle pies are a must for me :-)
I have to have a selection of sandwiches cut into small triangles - they don't taste the same otherwise!
i'm a fan of anything with quiche in it!
My picnic essentials are cloudy lemonade, crisps, scotch eggs, hopefully homemade, gulten free bagels with ham, rice crackers with cream cheese, tuna pasties, fresh fruit, prawns on skewers and homemade lemon curd cheesecake
We love chicken legs in crunchy breadcrumbs - easy to eat and so tasty!
Its not a proper picnic if there isn't a scotch egg!
My picnic essential is boiled eggs! Something my mum always did and something I've continued!
pork pie, quiche, fruit salad, ploughmans board washed down with elderflower champagne
Picnic essential has to be my husband to carry all the wonderful food and wine that we need.
Scotch eggs and cheese and onion crisps
Grapes, vegan cheese and rolls with elderflower cordial.
Sausage rolls, pork pies, crisps and strawberries.
A tasty essential for my picnic would have to be hubby or a friend, along with savoury vegetable pasties or patties Jamaican style with a bit of spice added.
Pork pie and branston pickle!
