Win a Luxury Picnic Hamper with National Picnic Week (CLOSED)

Hello everyone!  How was your weekend, any nice wins to report?  Can you believe that I am still waiting for my first June win – going through my worst dry spell in years!  To top it all it was the Isle of Wight Festival at the weekend, and hubby and I must have entered hundreds of competitions between us to try and win tickets but all to no avail!  We had to make do with catching a vague waft of music floating on the breeze, and catch up coverage on the TV – fail!

Still, at least the weather has been good the last few weeks, so can’t really complain.  We have been able to get out and about as often as we can, and weekend activities really start to ramp up now here on the Island with the Round the Island Race at the end of the month and various other sailing events and festivals to go and see.  It does mean that my comping time is taking a back seat again though, which is a drawback of the summer but one that I can deal with.

One thing I do love about the summer months is packing up a picnic and heading off for a Greer Mystery Tour.  Nothing better than making a load of sandwiches, throwing them in a picnic hamper with crisps, homemade cakes, fruit and a flask of coffee and seeing where the road takes you – we always manage to stumble upon some great picnic spots this way!  Did you know that this week (13-21 June 2015) is National Picnic Week – what better way to get the family outdoors for some al fresco dining and fun!

To celebrate The PrizeFinder has a fantastic exclusive competition for all our members to win a fabulous four person picnic hamper!  The Buckingham Luxury Wicker Picnic Hamper comes complete with built in chiller compartment, blanket and enough plates, wine glasses and accessories to take four people on a picnic in comfortable style!  To enter this competition you need to be a registered PrizeFinder member, logged into your account and leave me a blog comment below with what your picnic essentials are.  For me it has to be homemade sausage rolls – infinitely more tasty and satisfying than the flabby shop bought varieties.  One comment per person please and remember that comments are moderated and won’t appear immediately.  One entry will be drawn at random after the closing date of 23:59 on Sunday 21st June 2015 – Good luck!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x

My picnic essentials starts with a decent rug with a waterproof backing. Granary baguette with lots of salad and cheese or tuna filling. Crunchy celery and pop to quench our thirst.

mini scotch eggs, and ham and tomato sandwiches(which must always be cut into triangles when we are on a picnic, also bags of mini cheddars, they are a family tradition

Definitely a bottle of cold Prosecco for me together with some lovely sweet strawberries but before all that you have got to have a lovely scotch egg, you can't have a picnic without one x

I'm not very creative I'm afraid (and the little ones are quite fussy) so we tend to stick to assorted cheese and ham sandwiches, a fruit salad and lots of cordial! Still tastes good al fresco!

I like a selection of good quality antipasti (Italian cold meats, olives, rosemary focaccia), hummus, fresh salad, chilled fresh fruits and home made brownies.
