Share Your June Wins

Submitted by tpf_kirsty on Wed, 2016-06-01 08:39

Hello everyone!  How was your week, any nice wins to report?  Well here we are in June and the start of summer – where did spring go?  I find with the start of June I am always looking to win some money to put towards holidays, but comping isn’t the only place you can win nice cash prizes – how about some bingo too!  If you are a regular bingo player, or maybe want to get started in this fun hobby whey no check out The BingoFinder where you will discover all the best and latest bingo sites with all the best and latest sign up offers, deposit bonuses and special daily bingo events!  Check it out and you could be winning big just by playing some fun bingo games online!

May was a very busy one for me what with all the usual kids’ school, club and social activities but I also moved house a few weeks ago and am only just now getting back to some normality.  Even though we only moved two streets down from where we were before it had a major impact on my comping time.  I did manage to win six nice prizes during May though, which really doesn’t feel too bad considering how little comping I did.  Let’s take a look at what I did manage to win:

  • £5 to spend at an online card shop, from Stylist magazine
  • A four person picnic backpack, from Mountain Warehouse on Twitter
  • A surprise copy of “Amazing” magazine, from a children’s magazine
  • A £10 hotel voucher, from the Babybel instant win
  • A PG tips apron, from Excel Vending on Facebook
  • A £25 John Lewis voucher, from a Twitter party

Another month, another win in a Twitter party!  I have great success with these, so if you haven’t already you really should get involved in them.  Follow me on Twitter (@kirstygreer) and keep an eye out for upcoming parties!  Let’s have a look now at what our lovely members have been winning during May 2016:

Sloopy123 had a great month for wins bagging such lovely things as tickets to the Ideal Home Show and also An Audience with Martin Kemp, and also an enamel mug and bowl set from Dorset Tea and a salad bowl from Florette!  Shazza114  was lucky on the Babybel instant win too grabbing herself a net of the tasty cheese, and Caspertheghost had a great surprise win turn up from Netmums of a designer leather changing bag full of baby skincare goodies.  Hamish666 had some nice wins this month too including some doggie joint care supplements, four Wasgij jigsaws and some hair styling goodies from Moray Firth radio.  VillageFox continued her winning successes by securing such marvellous prizes this moth as a £10 iTunes voucher from a Twitter party, a cookery book from a Twitter comp, a Stamptastic bundle from a blog comp, a £25 shopping voucher from a Twitter party and a surprise bundle of Mega Bloks!  Buttons23 told us of some great wins this month too including a personalised super hero cape and some yummy biscuits, a Peter Rabbit DVD, a hand drawn Game of Thrones picture and a new book.  Kslade did nicely during May too winning herself 12 bottles of Juice Burst, £10 Spotify gift card and tickets to see Dirty Dancing, and Sarah2572 had her first win for 2016 which was two tickets to the FA Vase and Trophy Final at Wembley!  Postie58 sent us a comment from Florence where they were on holiday with a comp they won on The PrizeFinder which also came with a Burtons voucher and £200 of restaurant vouchers, and Pinkie had some nice wins too of a Captain Jake might colossus shop from a children’s magazine and a bath milk from Lucy Annabelle worth £43!  Joan had a brilliant win from The Telegraph’s Winning Moments of over £900 of fashion including a bracelet, leather boots and a coat, and Dig76 won a case of wine from NisaLocally on Facebook – cheers!

We especially like to hear about members’ first ever wins since starting comping with us.  Balacath kindly wrote on our blog to let us know they had their first wins since beginning comping four months ago, and what nice first prizes they are!  They managed to not only win a Repak bag, some Batiste products and a pair of London show tickets worth £40 but also £100 of Tesco vouchers from the weekly Esso comp on Twitter!  I hope this lovely haul gives you lots of motivation to carry on comping and look forward to hearing about your next fabulous prize haul!

I think my favourite win this month has to be from Jesterminnit.  Whilst waiting to collect his holiday currency recently he answered the phone to be notified that he had won a four night holiday in Los Angeles including flights and $250 spending money!  What a brilliant way to make a good day even better, well done – look forward to seeing the photos!

Let us know how you get on with June’s comps by commenting below with your wins.  Don’t forget to upload a photo of your wins too for a chance to win a £50 voucher here.

I look forward to hopefully being able to share more of my own wins next month, and to reading all about yours!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x

I just started entering competitions yesterday. I'm really interested to know what to expect? I must have entered 500 so far?

Hi and welcome! I normally advise people to average entering about 100 per day and to allow about 3 months for wins to start to come in, but it could be sooner! Also try your hand at some other kinds of comps rather than prize draws - creative entry where you need to submit a caption or a photo, more local comps to you by searching in Google, and maybe try some social media comps or blog comps. Mix up the way you enter competitions to spread your chances round more and hopefully win some lovely prizes. Do let us know how you get on - good luck!!! x

Hiya - well some more wins have happened and I'm really enthused to keep going. I won a head band from 'Countryside' on twitter - worth £28. handy seeing as though the sun hasn't appeared yet this year! then won some Argan oil - only about £3 for a small sample size but they sent two - one for my daughter and one for me. My biggest win however has been on My Living London via twitter! I've won a makeover and photo shoot. They say its worth £500 but I'm not sure. However, as its my daughter's 18th at christmas I'm going to combine the treat as its for two people to have hair and make up and photo so not to be sniffed at! Even if i have to pay a little extra for more photos it will be great to have our hair and make up done for a night out in London after.
My number of entries are hit and miss depending on how busy I am. I'd love to win something on one of the daily entry comps so I'm going to keep at it and see if I can get lucky.

Good luck everyone with July wins :-)

I won my first prize last month, a glass drinks dispenser from laimon (FB). I've been comping a couple of months and that's my only win but I'll keep going. I only enter things that I would use or want to win.
