Share Your September Wins

Hello everyone!  How is your week going, any nice wins to report?  So here we go with another new month, and it feels like an important one for us compers.  September means lots of things – kids going back to school, the start of the “ber” months and the beginning of autumn.  But for me it also signifies the start of the busier comping months of the year, September through to January.  Summer is usually pretty quiet for compers, as some promoters take a break from big comps, and we generally have less time for entering competitions as we either have children at home or are just out and about more often.  But with the cooler evenings, routine resuming with school and work, we can get back into our comping groove again – and may I be the first to say hurrah!

As expected August was a very slow month for me with my comping, as I have been working funny hours to cope with the kids being home and so not comping as much.  I did manage three nice prizes though, which I detail below:

  • A blu-ray box-set of The Blacklist Series 3, from a Twitter comp
  • A three month subscription to a children’s education app, from a blog comp
  • A personalised planner worth £24, from a Simply Cards & Papercraft comp

My fave win this month is a tough one as I have been desperate to see The Blacklist Series 3 – it is our fave programme – so this saved me some money, but as a stationery addict the personalised planner is also a lovely prize.  I will be ordering my new planner tomorrow, so it starts from September and I get a full 12 months’ use out of it.

Let’s take a peek at what some of our lovely members have been winning during August 2016:

Greig23 started the month well by winning himself a gin hamper from a daily Facebook comp, and honeybunny64 started back comping this month and won herself a box of Nakd bars from one of their twitter comps – yummy!  Buttons23 was on a winning streak this month by bagging a family ticket to see The Gruffalo, some Finding Dory toys, a smoothie kit and a Ladybird book, and cazzycaz broke her dry spell by winning a fab waterproof Bluetooth speaker.  Mapleacorn had a great month winning such lovely things as tickets to ladies Day at Newbury, a £30 John Lewis gift card, river boat sightseeing cruise tickets, protein shake goodies and some sunglasses – what a fabulous haul!  Villagefox had a lovely winning month securing herself a How To Be Single DVD, a family pass to The Deep, a Kung Fu Panda 3 DVD, some nursery furniture and two children’s books – an impressive list as always!  RamraIderuk had a great surprise win turn up of a hairdryer, and Aqu4peach won a magnificent prize of a Little Tikes Jump n Double Slide worth around £280 – amazing!  Hamish666 had a great win of scooters for the whole family (worth around £600) which will make great Christmas gifts, and Clotho won some tickets for a pre-screening of Nerve and a festival kit – marvellous!  Missadventure won some cinema related goodies too including a BFG goody bag and a £50 cinema voucher, and Joan won herself some hair colourants from Layered online – well done!  Festival prizes seem to have been popular this month too with Bluemoon19731 winning a family ticket to see Shark in the Park at Edinburgh Festival amongst other things, and CandyGirl won two tickets to a music festival in London – good going guys!

I think the title of “Most Prolific Comper” this month has to go to Szekeres101 who has had a fabulous month!  During August they have managed to win such lovely prizes as a two night stay for two in Cornwall with vouchers to spend worth £570 in total, a Kisses Lipbllm, a year’s full gym membership worth £576 and a Ladybird book – well done you!

Lots of people commented on last month’s post saying that they love to read about other people’s wins, as it keeps them going in dry spells.  As I said at the start of this blog September always feels like the start of the busier comping months for me, so don’t despair if you have had a quiet year up to now.  Keep comping, stay constant and concentrate on what you are really interested in winning.  By the time December comes and the advents are upon us we all won’t be able to move for wonderful competitions, so stay with The PrizeFinder and stay positive!

Let us know how you get on with September’s comps by commenting below with your wins.  Don’t forget to upload a photo of your wins too for a chance to win a £50 voucher here.

I look forward to hopefully being able to share more of my own wins next month, and to reading all about yours!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!
