Share Your September Wins

Hello everyone!  How is your week going, any nice wins to report?  Well, here we are again, another new month and a new season too!  I am not sure where the summer has gone, but it didn’t ever really appeal this year did it?  We had a few nice days in June and another few nice days over the August Bank Holiday, and that was pretty much it!  Now the kids are almost back at school, the nights will start to draw in and we can all get back into our full comping routines!

August, as you can imagine, was a slow-starter for me - just four smallish prizes to report:

  • A pair of Despicable Me 3 Headphones, from Top of The Pops Magazine
  • A Dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts, from their Instagram comp
  • Pair of tickets to see the Gruffalo in Richmond, from a blog comp
  • A £10 Love2Shop voucher, from a Facebook live comp

As you can see what with having the kids off school and getting ready for my eldest to start high school my comping efforts have been sadly diminished - along with my prizes!  Once the kiddos are back to school on Wednesday I am definitely going to make a huge concerted effort to try and win some goodies to put by for – dare I say it this early – Christmas!

Let’s see how some of our lovely members got on during August 2017:

Abumo1 started the month well by winning a signed book by David Walliams, and Woodsyhere won a brilliant Hygge kit from Carlsberg including a notebook, lamp, candle and lots of other goodies!  Beccyj had a wonderful win of a luxury hamper and a £100 donation to a charity of her choice, and Mapleacorn had some nice wins too including a pack of Cadbury Buttons from their Twitter comp, a candle and a Dominos’ pizza!  Hedgygirl won a great competition from Cat Magazine on Facebook – in included a mug, a flask, necklace & earrings set, a watch, picture frame, bag and purse all worth £63 – brilliant!  Hamish666 had a much better month this month, after a slow June and July, bagging such lovely prizes as a Lottie Doll from a blog comp, some chocolate buttons from Cadbury, an activity book & seabands from a blog comp, a Horrible Science kit from a blog comp and a Lion Guard bundle from a Twitter party – great stuff!

I think the title of “Most Consistent Comper” has to go again this month to VillageFox who has won herself an impressive array of goodies including a cleaning bundle from a Twitter Party, a box of doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, a NOW TV Pass from the Carling Tap App, a surprise bundle of Boss Baby goodies, two surprise prizes from the Frubes on-pack promotion and a Travel mug from the Ambrosia promotion – what a brilliant list of prizes, well done!

Let us know how you get on with September’s comps by commenting below with your wins.  Don’t forget to upload a photo of your wins too for a chance to win a £50 voucher here.

I look forward to hopefully being able to share more of my own wins next month, and to reading all about yours!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x

Not had much time for comping lately, so I am pleased to have won an Aurelia Necklace Set from The Little Things In Life.

One was a handbag on a Facebook comp and the other was a designer nappy changing bag, which was also a facebook comp. all in all £85 worth of wins so very happy with that! Hopefully a sign of all the good things to come lol x

We have just come back from a fab week in Chamonix, France, courtesy of Inghams who provided the prize in the Sunday Times 'where was I?' competition. the other guests were thrilled for us & most have said they'll take up comping as a hobby, while the reps were using our story at the welcome meeting for the next guests!!

Only one win so far this month, a SnoBall battle pack from their Tuesday Quiz on Twitter. A very quiet month so far for prizes.

Do you know if the new layout (four competitions) per page is remaining? The continual reloading of ads for each new page of competitions is not liked by my lap top!!! Could the number of competitions per page be increased to 10/15 or even revert back to the pervious all on one page?

I've just started again after a break (annual leave plus bad weather meant I had the time). I just found out from Facebook that I've won the Mr Men and Little Miss collections from The Book People - worth £52. Not a bad start :-)

(By the way, with the changes to your site, when I first came into this blog I thought for a few seconds that 'Permalink' had been outstandingly lucky this month :-D )
