Hello again everyone, how is your week going; any nice wins to report? Well here we are in October; this year really is flying past now. Before too long it will be Halloween, then Bonfire Night and then the big one - Christmas! I know, a lot of you are probably shouting at me right now that it is too early to think about Christmas, but you see how quickly it comes around!
September is never a great comping month for me, as it tends to be eaten up with getting the children back into the school routines, getting myself back into good working habits, and generally snowed under with paperwork and admin jobs! I did however manage to win two nice prizes last month – a surprise Gel-a-Peel jewellery set won by my daughter from a children’s magazine, and some Star Wars game goodies from a Facebook competition run by another comper.
So, as you can see September was really nothing to shout about for me, but I wasn’t surprised when I look at the amount of comping I had actually done. That’s it now though, back in my comping groove and determined to win some nice goodies for Christmas. So, let’s take a look at what some of our lucky members have been winning during September 2018:
Joan and her husband were back in wining form last month, bagging themselves a DVD copy of Allure which came with no compliments slip to say who it was from, as well as a limited-edition Jane Austen mug from Drama TV! Caustin78 wrote to tell us about some lovely win this month including a mascara from a Facebook competition and a kids’ Hunter backpack, by guessing the number of mini Soreen loaves in a Facebook comp - well done! Mapleacorn certainly had a visit from the Comping Fairy this month judging by the prizes she won – a week’s self-catering holiday to Turkey from the world’s tiniest Facebook comp, which can be taken at any time, being the main one to shout about! She also won a wine rack from a Facebook comp, a turnout rug for her horse from another Facebook comp and a newborn photo shoot and images, along with a White Company outfit and goody bag, worth over £250 in total - what a fabulous haul for the month, you really are the Facebook comping queen! Villagefox and her son have had an exciting month too – first winning an annual Merlin pass and a hamper of sweets from a creative comp on Twitter, and then an iPad mini from another creative photography comp this time run by The Mirror! You should both be very proud of your creative comping successes, these are great prizes and I am sure all the effort now seems worth it!
Do let us know how you get on with your October’s comping; we love to read your winners’ stories! Don’t forget to upload a photo of your wins too for a chance to win a £50 voucher here.
I look forward to hopefully being able to share more of my own wins next month, and to reading all about yours!
Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!
A good start to this month for my husband and I, a DOA. Rites of Passage Blue-ray DVD from West Sound. Also a £100 Clearspring hamper from the Soil Association.
I have got off to a good start and won a personalised dinosaur teddy on an Instagram competition. It's my youngest birthday next month so I have asked for them to put Archie's dino on it and will keep it back for his birthday x
I won a Foxy Pants game from a blog - I will be putting it aside for Christmas :)
I have had another fab win on Instagram £100 voucher for me and my niece to spend in their online fashion store and £100 contouring makeup set each from the same giveaway. Biggest win for me since comping x
I have won a 'Jane Austen' mug from Channel 4 - but do not recollect the precise competition. Can you help?
Hi Ashley22, we listed this Haywood & Padgett competition on The PrizeFinder - there were 5000 x Limited Edition Jane Austen Mugs up for grabs! Well done!
Something else for the Christmas stash - a scratch and reveal book which arrived in the post without a sender's note :)
My husband has just won a £150 Asus Blue Cave Router from a MacFormat competition.
Back again for my 5th winter, and have made a decent start. Started with a 'Jane Austin' mug ( Drama TV, from a magicfreebies link ) which is actually quite a nice thing! A £50 Edinburgh Woolen Mills voucher ( hosted by Express/Star group ) and two tickets to see classical guitarist Estas Tonne, with THE LIST, which I had to pass on. I also cracked the Seabrook crisps instant spin and won.........10% off my next order, but it's always nice to crack the long running instants at least once!
Ended the month with a '1st prize' in the DFDS spin to win, 2 free min-cruises to Amsterdam, and a case of sausages from Londis in a twitter comp! Just love the randomness of it all!
October has been a lucky month for me I have won a food and drink hamper from a local fence company comp on Facebook. I have won a case of prosecco from a web form competition from costcutter. I also won 24 bottles of green goblin cider from a Thatchers Facebook comp x
