Summer Escapes - Win a £50 Halfords Voucher (CLOSED)

Submitted by tpf_kirsty on Mon, 2015-07-06 09:16

Hello everyone!  How was your weekend, any nice wins to report?  A couple of small ones for so far for me including a My Little Pony magazine from an Instagram comp, a can of Red Bull in a freebie offer and a Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish from an online comp.  Spent most of the weekend outside buying bits for our camping trips, children’s parties, selling at car boot sales and having fun in the countryside with kites, footballs and Frisbees.  Don’t feel like we have been indoors much his weekend and as a result I feel rather disorganised for the coming week.  It’s the last full week of work and school with no external commitments, but then there is just one more week after that before the children break up for the summer – eek!

For those of you that don know we have just bought our first tent and camping accessories, with the hopes of starting to take the children away camping as often as we can.  It feels like a lovely way for us all to spend some quality family time together, with no TVs, housework or distractions.  To be fair we will probably go to holiday parks where there is nightly entertainment and Wi-Fi, but you have to start somewhere!  Do you enjoy getting out in the countryside and camping?  Maybe you like using bikes, scooters ad outdoor equipment?  My girls love taking their scooters when we go away, and it is good practice for them too.

If you are a fan of the outdoors, or just enjoy day trips during the summer you are going to love our exclusive competition this month!  Tell me in the comments below what your summer escape plans are and you could be winning a £50 Halfords voucher to spend on whatever you want!  We plan to be out camping as much as we can across the Island, and to just enjoy all the wonderful nature and countryside around us.  How would you spend your voucher - maybe you would like to get some new safety gear for your family bike enthusiast, or use it to purchase some new camping accessories, or even just to buy some car maintenance essentials such as oil, windscreen wash or any of the other little bits that soon add up when you are using the car all the time.  This competition is for registered members of The PrizeFinder only, and you will need to be logged into your account to leave me a comment.  One entry per person and the competition ends at 23:59 on Sunday 12th July 2015 with a winner being chosen at random shortly afterwards – good luck everyone!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x

We are off to Whitby for the regatta in the school holidays. My son has just bought his first car so would give the voucher to him for some bits and pieces for it if I was lucky enough to win.

My summer escape will be in my garden. Time off work, making dens and playing games with the children and enjoying some relaxing 'me' time!

my Summer escape plans involve driving down to Dorset to fish the famous Chesil Beach so I can see myself spending the £50 voucher on engine oil and new wipers to get me there.

I plan to escape to a tiny old town,
It's a place I've not heard of or seen. Where the grass softly whispers, A brook gently babbles,
And children aren't nasty or mean.
Horses trot slowly, their tails swishing gently,
Cottage windows all sparkle so clean.
The place I'll escape to, is peaceful,so quiet,
This place is my own lovely dream!

I have just won an 150 voucher against a glamping holiday thanks to the prize finder. Taking the family to one in Wales, close enough to the beach and Shrewsbury for the shopping

We're looking to escape to Edinburgh for our summer break...grandparents, grandchildren and then the wife and I over our wedding anniversary. We might even get to see the pandas if we don't get lost on the tour of the vaults...

Me and my boyfriend have found a little town just an hr away from us that has a all year round fairground and a massive arcade centre. We are the biggest kids there but we still love the 2p slot machines!
