Summer Escapes - Win a £50 Halfords Voucher (CLOSED)

Submitted by tpf_kirsty on Mon, 2015-07-06 09:16

Hello everyone!  How was your weekend, any nice wins to report?  A couple of small ones for so far for me including a My Little Pony magazine from an Instagram comp, a can of Red Bull in a freebie offer and a Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish from an online comp.  Spent most of the weekend outside buying bits for our camping trips, children’s parties, selling at car boot sales and having fun in the countryside with kites, footballs and Frisbees.  Don’t feel like we have been indoors much his weekend and as a result I feel rather disorganised for the coming week.  It’s the last full week of work and school with no external commitments, but then there is just one more week after that before the children break up for the summer – eek!

For those of you that don know we have just bought our first tent and camping accessories, with the hopes of starting to take the children away camping as often as we can.  It feels like a lovely way for us all to spend some quality family time together, with no TVs, housework or distractions.  To be fair we will probably go to holiday parks where there is nightly entertainment and Wi-Fi, but you have to start somewhere!  Do you enjoy getting out in the countryside and camping?  Maybe you like using bikes, scooters ad outdoor equipment?  My girls love taking their scooters when we go away, and it is good practice for them too.

If you are a fan of the outdoors, or just enjoy day trips during the summer you are going to love our exclusive competition this month!  Tell me in the comments below what your summer escape plans are and you could be winning a £50 Halfords voucher to spend on whatever you want!  We plan to be out camping as much as we can across the Island, and to just enjoy all the wonderful nature and countryside around us.  How would you spend your voucher - maybe you would like to get some new safety gear for your family bike enthusiast, or use it to purchase some new camping accessories, or even just to buy some car maintenance essentials such as oil, windscreen wash or any of the other little bits that soon add up when you are using the car all the time.  This competition is for registered members of The PrizeFinder only, and you will need to be logged into your account to leave me a comment.  One entry per person and the competition ends at 23:59 on Sunday 12th July 2015 with a winner being chosen at random shortly afterwards – good luck everyone!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x

I have won quite a few days out/theatre trips over the last few months, we have so much to fit in that my daughter has sat down and sorted out an agenda for fitting in all our plans!

Too skint this year to have an escape plan - will probably try to have a barbecue or something like that one weekend though and have people round.

We will be going to some of the plethora of local festivals here in the Bristol area, and we have tickets to see Madness in September as well. I'd give the voucher to my husband to buy some accessories for his bike as he has just taken up cycling again.

My summer escapes will be lots of lovely boat trips to see our basking sharks (if they appear), visiting agricultural shows and local fetes. Walking the coastal walk to enjoy the wonderful scenery and seascapes. Pick Your Own fruit especially strawberries and serving them up with sugar and cream.
There is loads to do here as a live on a beautiful island.

We have a cottage booked in Derbyshire. It is just round the corner from Gulliver's Kingdom so my son is really looking forward to the summer holiday.

Boringly I'm afraid I would just give it to my daughter, who rides her bike to work in London daily - so she could get some safety features such as a high viz jacket!

I'm not going anywhere - but I'm having a couple of weeks off work to enjoy the garden and the lovely countryside around my house. So fingers crossed for some nice weather.

We plan to escape to the seaside for week, hopefully the weather will be kind. I'd spend the voucher on car stuff, so we will be well prepared for the winter!
