Submitted by tpf_kirsty on Mon, 2015-12-28 11:29

Hello everyone!  A very Happy New Year to you all!   Hope you had a great Christmas and are ready for get going in a brand new comping year!  Those seasoned compers amongst you will know that January is often a really quiet month for comps, so it is a great time to take stock of your comping and refocus.  To celebrate the start of this wonderful New Year The PrizeFinder are launching our ever-popular Lucky New Year competition for all our lovely members.

Every day from now until 7th January 2016 we will be running a 24 hour competition to win a £10 Amazon voucher – one available to win each day.  There will be a variety of entry methods from blog comments, Facebook, Twitter, creative and Pinterest, and you can enter once per day for the duration of the promotion.  At the end of the seven days everyone who has entered at least one of the daily competitions will also be entered into the main prize draw to win a cheque for £100

Let’s kick off with a simple competition to find out what your comping resolutions are for 2016.  Maybe you would like to get into creative comps, try some new social media or just up the quantity of comps you enter.  For me I want to get more organised and enter those comps I am really interested in first, before going on to anything else if time allows.  To enter simply register with us for free or log in to your account and leave me a comment below.  Entries close at 23:59 tonight (1st January 2016) so get thinking!

Don’t forget that every entry you make into the daily Lucky New Year competitions gets you one entry into the Grand Prize Draw for £100!

I look forward to reading all your comments.

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x

My New Year comping Resolution is to get more tech - savvy and sign up for Instagram as I am missing out on lots of great comps by not being able to use it (or Twitter for that matter) - so I am going to take the time to work it out. I only got into using Facebook just over a year ago due to comping and The Prizefinder - and over the past year have had lots of lovely wins from there - and have also been able to stay in touch with my family and frinds who live countrywide as well so win win xxx

For me its to actually STOP whatever I am doing and listen to my boys more. Normally Im flying around racing against the clock so I hear what they are saying but often don't respond correctly at the time and then when I go to bed I lay there thinking about it and the next day its often too late or the moment has gone. However trivial their problems seem they are big to them or they wouldn't want to talk about it so I plan on being better at listening and dealing with the problems at the time. x

to put more effort into comping, if I can't be bothered, I ignore coming all day, or only entering a couple giving me longer without wins, when I put the effort in, I win something almost every day

I want to win the family holiday that eludes me so I shall try to concentrate on searching for and entering specific comps and not waste loads of time entering for things I don't care about.

Mine is to be more organised, make time to go through competitions and enter the ones I really want rather than leaving it too late, and hopefully be a bit more lucky.

I'm going to be more selective and only enter the competitions that I really want to win, instead of giving prizes away!

I want to do more frequent searches for the prizes I really want, enter more local competitions and enter more creative/effort giveaways.

My comping resolution is to try and be more organised as I tend to miss out on entering some of the good competitions before they close.

I'd like to try and be a lot more organised and look for competitions for things that I really want to win, like a trip to New York :-D Will try and not be so OCD about entering every single comp and that way I hopefully wont win stuff I don't really need or particularly want. That's just silly.
