I love writing so I decided I would try my skills at tiebreaker or writing-based competitions. I started in May and entered about five comps. I went away to South Wales on a little vacation in early June, and came back with an immediate desire to holiday again. One week wasn’t long enough!!

The following day, PING! My inbox shouted out ‘A Cottage By The Sea Winner’. It was as though my thoughts had been blown in the direction of Little Brown Publishers, who were running a competition with Tesco Books to promote a new novel by Carole Matthews. My lyrical entry had been selected from over a thousand by the author herself. ...and just when my husband had said to me that he thought ‘comps were a waste of time’!

I won £750 vouchers for Sykes Cottages for telling them who I would take on holiday with me. The winning poem is here:

I have only been using The Prize Finder for about a month. I had won a few little bits here and there but wondered who actually wins the top prizes?

All of a sudden a few days ago, I checked my emails to find "Smart Shoppers" have sent me a congratulations message. I opened it to find my cleaning tip had
won me a two night luxury stay at Buckland Manor Hotel in the Cotswolds including breakfast and three course evening meals.

Myself and my partner have never been away for a romantic weekend, so this will be a really lovely 4 year anniversary treat. Thank you!

I've had a few wins this week which is really pleasing. My daughter contacted Tango and asked if they did free samples....they said she was rather cheeky, she's 13.... but if she sent them a photo in an Aaaaaaah Tango moment, they would consider it. So we did the photo, put it on their page and the goodies arrived today. Loads of chocolate bars, chocolate sweets and two bottles of tango.

I've also won £100 of meat from Musclefood, a teeth whitening kit, smoko goodies and champagne, some face cream and body moisturiser, a voucher for pork pie, and some cheese from Wyke, because I got in touch with them and told them I had made a bee house out of a box that I received from them for their 125th anniversary. The box was so nice I didn't want to throw it away, so it's now been recycled....

My best win recently was the Purple Roberts radio I won through a competition with Absolute Radio online. I had to vote for my favourite music icon. It looks fab and the sound is amazing for such a little radio. It now has pride of place in my mums kitchen.

I lost my comping mojo a few months back, and I'm slowly trying to build it back. I'm not entering anywhere near as much recently and was gobsmacked to receive an email congratulating me on a £100 shopping spree at a lingerie store! All I had to do was comment with my perfect summers day - how easy. This was definitely the push I needed for my mojo!! Thanks Prizefinder x

I have always been a bit on the fence about the pet competitions, especially on Facebook. However I submitted my picture of my cat drinking my brew to a competition advertised on ThePrizefinder site for Paula's Choice UK. I thought nothing of it and didn’t realise they put this image on 3rd June. I only received my winners email today to say I have won the overall prize which is a complete Cleanse, Moisturiser and serum kit worth over £60. Since entering Facebook competitions since March I have won 2 main prizes, my first being an ultimate VIP weekend at Thorpe Park all thanks to ThePrizefinder.com!

The past 6 years had been tough after the death of my daughter's partner and I my only focus was on her and her and my 2 granddaughters. Then finally last year things seemed to be getting easier for her so she needed me less. However, this was when things became difficult for me as I had too much time on my hands and the weather was awful so I wasn't going out. I decided to look on the internet for "hobbies to do from home". My search came up with competitions and ThePrizefinder. I think it was January 13th I signed up with you and it has been a fantastic six months. I have not only won 42 prizes (to date) but it has given me a boost in myself and something to look forward to each day. I now look forward to the postie coming! My first prize was 4 tickets to see Madagascar live so me, my daughter and the girls went. We had a great day, full of laughter and I was hooked. Now they want me to win a holiday haha (I'm trying hard- honest.)

I can't believe it. After 6 months of not winning anything I won a big one. Just when we needed it as our old telly had packed in.

Not only did I win a 32 inch TV but an Xbox 360, a PS VITA and a gaming chair.

You can see the delight in our faces. It just goes to show - keep entering then it will happen.

June had been a fairly quiet month for me with a couple of small wins, 3 from the Stella beauty giveaway, a golf set and some Jellyegg goodies. Then I discovered the VIMTO Bounce n' Boom game on Facebook, offering some fantastic daily prizes! My son broke his headphones and I entered what felt like HUNDREDS of times for the Dr Dre Beats, and the next day, I got an email from Vimto saying I had won! SOOOO pleased!

I have been comping properly for the past year and had a few wins. However recently I've been going through a lean spell. However within the space of 3 days I suddenly won twice!

Firstly was tickets to a secret gig in London with Appletiser to see Eliza Dolittle live. The night was fantastic with free drinks and fun activities. I was on the front row to see her and I even met her afterwards!

Then I won 4 tickets to see Matilda the musical in London in July. I've wanted to see this show so badly, I can't believe my luck.

I love this hobby, and get such a rush when a win comes through. This is the only hobby you AND your friends & family can benefit from. My boyfriend was skeptical about it at first, but now he supports me all the way now he see's winning can and does happen (besides the fact I normally share him in on the win!).
