It probably sounds strange, but my special song is 'Five- Don't want to let you go'. It was playing on my partners cd player in his car during our first date, and it was quite memorable as i don't know many guys willing to admit that they were a fan of Five growing up. Luckily im a fan too.

It would have to be "Let's Dance" by David Bowie. As a family of dancers it sums us up perfectly - not to mention being a fabulous song in the first place!

TAKE A CHANCE ON ME BY ABBA. I met my husband at beginning of February 1978 through a pen pal magazine, I’d been through a bad time after breaking up with a previous long-term boyfriend so was wary of getting involved again. Anyway Stuart sent me a Valentine’s card with Abba’s ‘Take A Chance On Me’ inside. So I did, we got engaged on his birthday at end of May the same year, married at beginning of December and had our first child nine months later. Nearly 36 years and 3 children and 3 grandchildren later we’re still together.

Favourite song full of wonderful memories is Come up and see me smile by Cockney Rebel. My face lights up when this comes on, every year when my sister and I went on holiday it would always come on the taxi driver's radio on the way to the airport!! Spookie or what - we always laugh about it, it's our theme tune.

"Love is all around" is the theme tune to Four Weddings and a Funeral and it was number one about the time I met my husband. We met on a cruise ship and I wasn't sure if it was to be just a holiday romance! But, after finishing his contract with the Cruise Liner he visited me .We saw "Four Weddings" at the cinema and very soon after we were engaged. It will be the 20th anniversary of our ship board romance in April.

My special song is the Lovecats by the Cure. My hubby was obsessed by the Cure and we always listened to them when we were at school - yes we've been together since school :-) It just sums up our youth and we used to play a cover version of it when we were in a band at college. I would so love to give him this record as it would mean loads to us and would surely make him smile! <3

When we got married the DJ played for our first dance Babe by styx. The lyrics state " babe im leaving i must be on my way". everyone found this hilarious and we still have it as our special song 25 years later

Foreigner - Waiting for a girl like you
It reminds us of our first holiday together on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, and when we watch the 'Rock of Ages' movie, they sing it to each other, and we feel like we are right back in the eighties (we still have the big hair!)

The Universal - Blur.
It's mine and my boyfriend's song as the lyrics 'it really could happen' mean a lot to me. When i met him it was brilliant fun but then i had a major operation on both feet and had to learnt o walk again so we never had a 'first date' and through the struggle he stayed with me, moved me in with him and helped me through it. So despite my operation, in relationship terms it really did happen :)

I would love Use Somebody by Kings of Leon my wedding first dance. We went through endless lists of ideas for songs as we had never had "a" song we then thought hang on rather than all the cliché songs why don't we choose a song from a band we love. Now whenever I hear it I get teary!

My husband Adam and I danced to Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time as our first dance on our wedding day. We met when we were 15 years old at the local roller skating rink (Rollers!) where they used to play this song. We reunited 10 years later, and got married 8 years after that and this song was the only one we could imagine dancing to!

My special song is "Here and Now" by Luther Vandross. It's special because it's the song my wife & I danced to on our wedding day 20 years ago.

Father & Son by Boyzone - My wife is a big Boyzone fan and on Valentines day we had a driveup up the Trossachs. On part of the road there was still snow on the ground. By a lovely lochside I put the song on the DVD player on the line "Find a girl, settle down if you want you can marry". I changed it to "I've found a girl, I've settled down, If you want we can marry" and produced the ring box from my pocket. With tears in her eyes she said "Yes" but then opened the box and there was a drinking straw (but thats another story). We had the song as one of our first dances at our wedding and my wife has went on to give me 2 sons (and a daughter). We have been married and she is best friend.

Power of Love by Jennifer Rush - it was playing on the radio on a journey when my then boyfriend asked me to marry him - it was our first dance at our wedding - unfortunately it was also played at his funeral 11 years later, I still love it even though it usually makes me cry when I hear it now

I was on a school exchange trip in France when a girl approached and asked me to dance with her friend who was "feeling sad" because she was missing her boyfriend. The song was `Substitute` by Clout and it led to a beautiful relationship.
