Share Your April Wins

Hello everyone!  How was your weekend, any nice wins to report?  Just one more for me since last time – a goodie bag from Promotional Merchandise in their Easter scavenger hunt.  No idea what is inside the bundle as yet, but will let you know when it arrives!  Anyone that lives in a 100 mile radius of where I live will be glad to know that my cough is definitely on the way out – hurrah!  Doctors have now decided that the horrible chest infection I had (which took 3 courses of anti-biotics to clear) has now left me with some residual asthma – oh joy, but at least it is treatable and manageable.  This means that I have been able to do some proper coming towards the end of March, although I didn’t comp at all over the weekend, and am feeling withdrawal symptoms now!

The Easter holidays have begun here too; do you have little ones at home as well?  It can be quite a juggling act to keep everything going during these times can’t it – work, social commitments, housework, keeping the children entertained and not killing each other, as well as finding some time for your other half and some comping too!  I think me and the hubby will both be burnt out by the end of Easter, but if we get there with both children and our sanity intact I think we will be chalking this fortnight up as a win!

How was March for you comp-wise? March was a really, really quiet month for me – the worst so far this year in fact.  I put this mainly down to the fact that I was out of action for so long with my chest infection, and have been working more hours than I have been comping.  I managed to win a grand total of seven prizes during March 2015, and here is a very short run-down of what they were:

  • A baby bodysuit, from Vertbaudet on Facebook
  • A Child’s Farm colouring book and pencil set, from their half term tips comp on facebook
  • £20 store credit and a vintage Enid Blyton book, from Pickle Kids on social media
  • A McVities Sweeet puppy, from their text to win on-pack promotion
  • A Kinder book and chocolate bar, from their create a story comp online
  • A promotional Merchandise goody bag, from their online scavenger hunt
  • A Muddy Puddles all in one suit, from a photo comp with Babyworld

As you can see, March has been another social media-based month for me.  I think this is probably due to the easy entry nature of social media comps – you can do them even when you don’t have much time or much comping mojo.  I am hoping that April is a more fruitful month, although the fact that the children are home for the first two weeks of it doesn’t bode well!

Enough of my meagre wins; let’s have a look at what everyone else has been winning over the last month!

Goatinabout had her first win since November 2014 – and what a win it was!  She bagged herself a super iPad Air 2 from Netmums, which was definitely worth waiting for.  Lindowal will be off putting their lighters in the air this month too, when they attend the Usher concert they won tickets for – good stuff!  They also found a £100 Aveda gift set that they had won by googling their name – always remember to do this guys, as wins do slip through the net.  Sloopy123 had a lovely win from The Perfume Shop of 2 bottles of Versace Eros perfume, which total over £150 in value, and Simontink had a lovely win of a pushchair this month – good going!  Cully1953 has returned to comping after a break of a couple of years and has already started winning again by securing a lovely package including a signed Ken Hom wok, signed recipe book and 6 instant meals in a Facebook comp – hope this is the start of a comping roll.  Laurajanes had some lovely wins this month too including a couple of lovely foodie wins of over £200 of Joseph & Joseph cookware and a Breakfast Bible cookbook, and BarbaraEllen  won herself a wonderful sewing book from Puzzler magazine.  Cherylai9 won her first prize from The PrizeFinder since she started comping with us, which was a £50 voucher from Custom Canvas, and Maggie1 has had her best prize win to date last month of a personalised Duchess Necklace from Actually Mummy.

I think my favourite prize of the month was won by laura44v who bagged herself £500 of lastminute.com vouchers in a Superdrug competition in association with Durex to win a romantic weekend away – there were six winners of this comp, did any other members win this too?  Great win Laura; do let us know where you book to go with your prize.

I think the accolade of Top Comper this month has to go to the lovely xxme2uxx who has had an amazing month during March by bagging herself such fabulous prizes as a toothbrush, a mouse mat, a cuff bracelet, a personalised frame, a surprise bundle of gaming gear, a couple of bundles of E45 goodies and a £200 sewing machine to name but a handful!  You are an inspiration to us all, keep up the good work!

Let us all know how you get on with April’s comps by commenting below with your wins.  Don’t forget to upload a photo of your wins too for a chance to win a £50 voucher here.

I look forward to hopefully being able to share more of my own wins next month, and to reading all about yours!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x
