WIN a £50 Amazon voucher!

Here's a great new competition especially for registered PrizeFinder members – you could win a £50 Amazon voucher just by telling us about the BEST prize you've ever won in a competition!

I'll start by telling you about my best ever prize - it was a VW Beetle which I won in a slogan competition way back in 2002. I'd only been entering 'purchase necessary' tiebreaker competitions for a couple of years and this was a BIG purchase – to enter, you had to buy a Zanussi washing machine and send off a copy of your receipt with the entry form. As if by magic, my ten year old washer actually broke down a few days after I spotted the competition - I took that as a sign I should enter and bought the washer on a year's interest free credit. I spent ages on my slogan which I must admit, wasn't one of my best efforts – but you never know what the judges are looking for!

"I like to wash my clothes in a Zanussi because…
From winter woolies to skimpy underwear,
Zanussi technology is programmed to care"

…and a couple of months later I got the Winning Telephone Call from Electrolux to say I'd won the car! I was over the moon - I'd always wanted a Beetle, and even when they made me sit on a washing machine outside my local Currys store for the local newspaper photographer I didn't mind.

I've won lots of amazing prizes since then, but I really loved that car - it will take an incredible prize to top that!

And so - now we want to hear about YOUR best prize. It might be the most valuable prize you've won, or a proper money-can't-buy experience. Maybe it was a toy that your child really wanted - or was your very first prize the most special? Leave a comment here on this blog post telling us what the prize was and what made it so special, and one winner will be chosen at random to win a £50 Amazon voucher.

Your comment won't appear here immediately as we have moderation set up on the blog, but as long as it's received before 12 midnight on Sunday 30 September 2012 it will count!

One of my best prizes was a Mother's Day Comp - I had to tell them why my mum deserved to win! I was so desperate to get her something lovely that she would remember. I was completely blown away when I heard that I had won!! The Shopping Centre - the Ocean Terminal in Edinburgh called me up - I was squealing! I won for my mum :
An overnight stay at Malmaison. Dinner for four at Original Hamburger Company, £50 Ortak Voucher, Build-A-Bear Bear, Tickets for the Royal Yacht Britannia, £30 Greggs vouchers and lots of other little bits and pieces! Mum and I went over to collect them and got our photo pasted on their facebook page for everyone to see! A lovely day out, and we are still enjoying the prizes!

I've been chomping for just under a year now and have won quite a few things including perfume, beauty products a Magners hamper last Christmas, Stella Artois glasses (I have 6 now), toys and various other bits and bobs. The best prize I have won so far came the other week when I received an Adidas home gym kit including a weight bench, weights, a gym ball, skipping rope, training mat, medicine ball, reaction ball and various other sporting equipment. I looked it all up on Amazon and found that it was worth at least £255! Now I look forward to checking my emails to see what I will win next!

My best prize was from Orange in 2006. A trip for 2 to Los Angeles with a tour of Warner Brothers studios and stars homes tour. I was lucky with this one as they had to do a redraw because the original winner had a criminal record and wouldnt have been allowed a visa to get into America

My best win was a cast iron four poster bed, probably about 1998 when I won it and it's still as good as new now. It was a small company that hand made them. It was a tiebreaker competition from a magazine and I was (and still am) so proud of it. Sadly it didn't come with a new mattress so I had to have a very sad old one on it for a number of years! I had a good 10 year break from comping and haven't been having as much luck, so keep reminding myself of the wins i had (pre internet) to keep me going.

I know how you feel! I had my Beetle for 8 years and only got rid of it because I couldn't fit all the new baby paraphernalia in the boot. We replaced it with a (bought!) Volvo that I love though!

Although not the biggest prize, my biggest win was a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone which meant I was able to sell my phone and buy our puppy dog.

My best prize was £100,000. It was won on pchprizes and the big cardboard cheque was delivered by Keith Chegwin. My car was due an M.O.T at the time and I was worried where I was going to find the money to pay for it. Well, needless to say, I bought my first ever brand new car. Still can't believe how lucky I am.

Back in 2006 I won a competition in Computer Music magazine - about £600 worth of Firewire audio interface and controller keyboard. I came out of a depression I had been in, was inspired to sell of lots of bulky studio equipment and get a better computer (the prize made my older kit redundant), and ended up using the prizes to write a whole album of my tracks which is out on iTunes, Amazon and lots of other download sites. I've also done paid work with this kit for other people, mixing album tracks and doing remixes of single tracks. I still have it now!

For as long as i remember i've wanted to take a bite out of the big apple but could never justify spending that much, always choosing to go on family holidays instead.
I heard about a competition on Capital FM where you had to write a brief story about an office romance, I got the call to tell my tale on air and won a 4 night trip to New York with spending money!!
I was able to go with my best friend (leaving hubby at home as chilcare) and it was amazing! One of my best weeks ever. I still look at the pictures and pinch myself, so many special memories!Isn't comping the best hobby ever?

my partner had been off work following a back injury and op and we discussed going away for a few days if we could afford it whenever he felt a bit better. I got the news the next week that i 'd won a trip for two to Vegas,a tour of a famous boxing ring there and tickets to rod stewart in concert at caesars palace. We couldn't believe our luck. The type of break we could have barely afforded ourselves was a few days in a B & B - and don't get me wrong we would have been very glad of that. You can imagine our delight at winning Vegas! Its was the most amazing, jaw droppingly spectacular holiday . We flew direct with virgin atlantic, had a limousine to the Aria hotel and had the most fantastic time, If I never win another thing I'll be happy with that as my best prize :-)

My best prize which money can't buy was when I won my daughter to be a mascot for England v Andorra. She spent the day at Old Trafford then went on the pitch with the teams infront of 60,000 fans. It was on T.V. So we have it forever. As a bonus they were short of a mascot on the day and they asked my son if he would like to join her! He too ran down the tunnel, got into his kit and walked out onto the pitch. They got 4 football kits that day and a whole load of memories. Magic!

Wow, where do I start I've had some truly amazing wins & so has my son. I've won an iPad, two pushchairs, I've lost count of the beauty products, baby items and DVDs. My biggest win was £10,000 worth of gadgets from the currys competition last year. I actually thought the women on the phone was joking, I was that shocked I threw up. My favourtive all time win was my pink lining yummy mummy bag that my son won with he's firework picture which is actually priceless to me :)

Almost twenty years ago, when I was eighteen, I won an all expenses stars holiday to Ibiza. A friend and I stayed in a gorgeous hotel with all food and drink, including alcohol, included. We played tennis with Pat Cash, basketball with Magic Johnson and saw Paul Young, Snap and Cappella play live. Definitely my best prize yet, and a toughy to beat!!!

My best ever prize win is still to come! Earlier this year I won a Channel 5 postcard competition and the prize is a trip for 2 to Mauritius for a week.

Am so excited about this forthcoming trip which comes in our silver wedding anniversary year. Neither of us has been to Mauritius before so that will be such a treat. The other element I'm looking forward to is having the services of a butler!! Fancy that.

I'm currently buying new undies so that the butler doesn't get a fright when he unpacks the cases. LOL.

I've been entering competitions for a number of years, but 2012 has been my most fruitful. By far the best prize I've won was earlier this year when, courtesy of Esquire magazine, I won two VIP tickets to the BAFTA's, along with first class train travel, a night in a swanky London hotel and a post-BAFTA 3-course meal in a posh restaurant. Not only did we get the chance to see the legendary Tom Jones perform at the start of the show, which was hosted by the wonderful Stephen Fry but also step onto the red carpet and be alongside some of the worlds most famous movie stars, such as John Hurt, Richard E. Grant and Meryl Streep.

My girlfriend was extremely excited to shake hands and say hello to George Clooney, plus be just an arms length away from Brad Pitt. In fact, I think she had a hot flush or two. Personally, I was more impressed that I got to chat to Nick Frost and Richard Ayoade. All in all, it was a fantastic, once-in-a-lifteime experience that I will remember fondly for the rest of my life!
