So, the Easter Bank Holiday is over, most of the children are back to school - time to get back to the important job of comping again! It has been a while since we did a blog focusing on Facebook, so I thought it might be a good time to remind people about some useful hints and tips to use when entering Facebook comps, as well as some Dos and Don’ts!
One of the most frustrating things about competitions is when we don’t hear who won. Unfortunately there are lots of scam prize promotions around, in particular on Facebook, and it’s not surprising that we're suspicious if a company refuses to name the winner of their latest comp.
Compers are the ideal target for a scam Facebook page, which is why we so regularly see crazy generous giveaways of iPads, iPhones, supermarket vouchers and Disneyand tickets. The prizes seem too good to be true, and that's because they usually are!
READ THE RULES is one of the best pieces of advice we can give to a comper. However, it's also a great piece of advice for a promoter too. It's incredibly important to get the Terms and Conditions right first time – and increasingly, promoters are failing to do this.
Have you noticed lots more competitions popping up on Pinterest lately? They make a refreshing change from the Facebook Like & Shares or the one click Roboform entries, and as they have much lower entry numbers they can be a great source of prizes for those with a bit of time and imagination!

You might have seen that there are a lot more photo competitions being listed on the PrizeFinder lately. Lots more promoters are running them and find them a great way to get their fans involved with their Facebook pages and have a bit of fun at the same time.
