Our March Wins

Submitted by SuperluckyDi on Sat, 2012-03-03 20:25

Have you kicked off March with any wins? Nothing to report yet at the Coke household, but that's probably because I've been too busy for comping! I've been working on The PrizeFinder's updated Facebook page, and our £50 Amazon voucher competition… so get over to Facebook to check it out!

We had some amazing wins added to the February Wins post, including two great prizes from Cosmopolitan magazine - saraguy won a £5000 engagement ring (he said yes!) and rudders won a holiday to Barbados! Aimo2284 had her biggest win yet - a laptop from the Autoglass Facebook photo comp (a voting comp which we campaigned to get changed - and succeeded!) and caz380z won a BAFTAs makeover at the Savoy! And I lost count of how many Waitrose cheese plates we bagged between us...

Our total for the month worked out at around £22,000, which is pretty impressive - I managed to win £1000 of music memorabilia and a £1000 holiday voucher too, which I'm really chuffed with!

As usual, post all your lovely wins as a comment on this post - here's to a lucky March!

My wins this month:
Diary of a Wimpy Kid signed book - Photobox photo comp
£500 ASOS vouchers - Blippar/5 Gum comp
£100 Fashion Union vouchers - Facebook
Max factor mascara - Twitter
iPad2 - KBB show prize draw
Ryvita cool bag - Waitrose magazine
Bottle of Malibu - Facebook photo comp
Raa Raa Lion toy - Friends comic
3 x bags of Tooty Frooties - Rowntrees Facebook
Trip to Copenhagen and dinner at Noma - Foodie FM Recipe comp
£100 Mothercare vouchers - Castle Marina retail Park tiebreaker

Total = £2150

Hi All

Just a quick stupid question from a novice!!! What's a WEM? I have a horrible feeling it's something to do with your phone! I have a pretty basic phone, should I be worried that I might miss receiving a WEM because of this?

Hope someone can help! Thanks

Thanks for your question!
A WEM is a 'Winning E-Mail'! A WTC is a 'Winning Telephone Call' - and in the old days we used to always get a LWE 'Long White Envelope' to inform us of a win! :)

I have been shortlisted in a competition to win an African safari (found through theprizefinder) and need your vote to help me win please! I recorded myself singing my entry and posted it on YouTube (you don't have to watch it!).

My entry is at http://www.2by2holidays.co.uk/feeldifferent/confirmed_entry.aspx?entry_… and all you need to do is enter your e-mail address, then click on the link they send you to confirm. Voting closes Sunday.

I was shortlisted in the final week from 100s of entries. As the company is 2by2 holidays, I came up with a variation on 'The animals came in two by two' for my entry. You could link to videos on YouTube, so I recorded me singing it, found some photos on the web and took some of my own to create a slideshow in a free video editor. It took quite a while, but the effort was worth it and helped me to get shortlisted (creativity and amount of effort were two of the criteria). I'd never made a video before, so I learned lots.

Well done on making the shortlist Kate! I should mention that this competition isn't entirely on votes (thankfully) and they will be judging too. Your entry was very imaginative - well done!
