Lucky New Year 2015 - Day 6 (CLOSED)

Submitted by tpf_kirsty on Tue, 2015-01-06 07:37

Hello again everyone!  Every day for the first week of January 2015 we are giving away a £10 Amazon voucher, and all entries from each daily competition will also go into the Grand Prize Draw to win £100 in cash!

For today’s Lucky New Year competition we want to know your comping resolutions.  Are you going to try and focus on different comps this year, keep a prize wish list, or maybe learn a new piece of social media or an app to help your comping successes?  For me I am going yto try and focus more on what I really want to win, and to try and do more Instagram and Pinterest comps too.  To enter today’s competition you just need to drop me a blog comment below before 23:59 tonight Tuesday 6th January 2015.  Remember that comments need to be moderated, and as such won’t appear instantly.

Don’t forget that every entry you make into the daily Lucky New Year competitions gets you one entry into the Grand Prize Draw for £100!

Kirsty x

My comping resolution is to work in a more organised fashion. Instead of doing competitions that are closing that day (and then not getting finished or missing the deadline) I am going to work a week ahead and just check back each day for anything new.

I'm going to do more skill competitions. Slogans when I can find them but also uploading photos. I'm also going to do more purchase necessary comps as they often have lots of good prizes.

Definitely think more about what I actually want to win and also spend less time mindlessly retweeting. Easy to get sucked in on twitter as it seems so easy but ends up being a chore and I am determined to return comping back to the realm of enjoyable hobby!

I am going to enter only those I really want to win. Do tomorrows competitions before midnight the night before and delete all those I don't want from the following day. I will also do a few of the end of month ones daily as there a lots.

I am going to try more rafflecopter and gleam comps. I usually find the blog posts informative and have stumbled upon some good blogs

I am going to try to be more focused and set by a time just to do competitions - not get sidetracked by everything else going on on the computer! I'm also going to try to get to grips with Instagram - so far I've worked out the follow and comment bit and the little heart but havne't worked out the regram bit!

My ongoing resolution is to keep better organised. I have already made a spreadsheet to keep better track of my prizes, and to help assess which type of comps I win from.

I am going to concentrate on always entering a day in front of the closing date and also to focus on those areas of most use to me for instance I never have had luck in the DVD type comps so I am going to leave those for others :) good luck everyone

I am going to carry on as I was before but maybe entering nearer the opening dates as I seem to end up missing a lot of them as I forget to enter and then its closing dates. I love to win anything no matter how big or small, everything is a lovely surprise and usually something that we wouldn't buy for ourselves so is a lovely treat. Good luck to all for the coming year. x

Like you, I'm resolved to enter more "effort" comps and to enter to win only prizes that I really want. I have the to improve my photo and video skills, but I'm up for the challenge. I've already started my win wishlist!!

My resolution is to allow Sunday mornings for comping time, without fail, so that I keep on top of my hobby/addiction. You've got to be in it to win it!

I have just committed the cardinal rule of entering competitions and written a comment that did not answer today's question. That is my new years resolution READ THE QUESTION!

In 2015 I have decided to enter more competitions in my wife's name, as she has considerably more luck than myself at winning the odd small prize!..........I just have to hope she will be willing to share any 'BIG' windfalls.

I tried my first Pinterest comps this Christmas so will carry on getting my head around these , but I also want to enter more caption & tiebreaker type comps this year as they should have less entries.

My resolution is to only enter for the things I really would like, such as a holiday, a new tv, and hopefully make a start on this years christmas. Fingers crossed x

I am going to TRY to remember to check my Twitter account a few times a day, not just when I remember! I may have lost out on prizes by not looking! Also must check 'other' message box on Facebook, although there's never anything there!

My comping resolution for this year is to keep two days ahead with the closing soon comps - I found that just keeping one day ahead meant I was missing a few I would have liked to enter.

My resolution is to not get distracted and crack on with the comping so that I can reach my ultimate goal (in terms of actual comping not winning)of entering comps when they are posted and not 2 minutes before they close/after they've closed.

At the beginning of every month I will look for 2 creative comps for prizes I want that are closing that month and make sure I put the effort into these instead of spotting the comp the day before it closes and either not bothering or rushing my entry.
