Share Your March Wins

Hello everyone!  How is your weekend going, any nice wins to report?  A few more for me since we last spoke including an anti-bacterial hand gel and some tomato seeds, both from Facebook instant wins, and some vouchers for either iTunes or Starbucks from an on air comp with Kiss FM – not had confirmation of my prize as yet.  Can you believe we are in March already, how on earth did that happen?  We are over half way through the school year now, with just 3 half terms left until the summer holidays – now if that doesn’t scare any parents of school age children I don’t know what will!  Time to take stock and see how we all did during February 2015 I think isn’t it.  For me, not a fabulous, show stopper month, but not the complete wipe out I thought it might be by the middle of the month.  Nine wins for me during February, totalling around about £80 – doesn’t sound that great does it, but bear in mind that February is probably one of the worst comping months there is.  Everything starts to pick up again from March with World Book Day, Mothers’ Day, Easter and all things spring related.  That being said here is a run-down of some of my wins last month:

  • Selection of Soft & Gentle deodorants, from a caption contest on Instagram
  • A bottle of sparkling rose wine, from a Facebook Like & Share comp
  • A “Love is…” print, from a Facebook comp
  • A 90:10 men’s hoodie, from a blog comp
  • A 1L bottle of gentle washing liquid, from a Facebook instant win
  • A 6 pack of Velvet crisps, from an Asda comp

I must confess however that I have been outdone this month – by my own husband!  Hubby started comping more regularly during the advents, and has been a little comping machine the last few months.  This week he had his first big, proper WEM (Winning Email if you weren’t sure) from MTV – he managed to bag himself a bespoke neon sign made to his own requirements, worth around £500!  He is a die-hard Bristol City Football Club fan, so will be getting his sign made up to say “BCFC” with a cider glass in between for good measure.  He is completely chuffed with his win, and rightly so, and it has spurred him on to carry ion comping.  Amazing what a big win can do for comping morale isn’t it!

Let’s see how all our lovely members got on during February shall we:

Our blog loving member xxme2uxx had a good February winning such lovely prizes as over £100 worth of jewellery from a Facebook comp, a Pipsy Koala sunshade, a lip balm, family tickets to see Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom and a Bio Synergy Active Woman bundle worth £60 – wowzers!  MrsLefty1010 had a lovely prize notification this month – a clutch bag worth £130 from Indigo Memories, and lizzybeff won some fab prizes including some sweeties, a set of promarkets and raffle prizes at a school show including a bottle of Calvin Klein perfume.  Laura44v carried on winning some fab prizes this month including a book from Global Cool, a pancake hamper from a blog comp and some fabulous Paul Mitchell hair care goodies from a Facebook comp.  Joan finally had her first win for 2015 this month, which was a Bed Head Recovery kit won from Halpern, and villagefox made her hubby pleased by winning a copy of Kung Fu Killer on DVD from HorroCultFilms.

I think my favourite prize of the month was won by Pamelacook.   She won a really lovely bundle of items from Royal Canin including cat food, a cuddly blanket, lint rollers and toys.  The promoter even contacted her prior to dispatching the prize, so they could get some more details on her cat, to ensure that the prizes sent were appropriate and tailored.  Just goes to show it isn’t always the size or the value of the prize that counts, but how much it will be used and loved by those that win it.

My pick of the best smaller prizes this month I think has to be the tomato seeds being given away by Heinz Tomato Ketchup on Facebook.  They may not seem a very big or important prize, but they can do so much.  Imagine the fun your child or grandchild would have planting these, watching them grow and learning all about science as it happens!  We are unfortunately without a garden where we live, so I had mine sent to my mum, who I know will nurture them and will be enjoying home grown tomatoes this summer – she has very green fingers.

Keep up the hard work guys – time spent comping now and focusing on the comps we want to win will pay off in the long run, I am sure of it!  Let us all know how you get on with March’s comps by commenting below with your wins.  Don’t forget to upload a photo of your wins too for a chance to win a £50 voucher here.

I look forward to hopefully being able to share more of my own wins next month, and to reading all about yours!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x
