Summer Escapes - Win a £50 Halfords Voucher (CLOSED)

Submitted by tpf_kirsty on Mon, 2015-07-06 09:16

Hello everyone!  How was your weekend, any nice wins to report?  A couple of small ones for so far for me including a My Little Pony magazine from an Instagram comp, a can of Red Bull in a freebie offer and a Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish from an online comp.  Spent most of the weekend outside buying bits for our camping trips, children’s parties, selling at car boot sales and having fun in the countryside with kites, footballs and Frisbees.  Don’t feel like we have been indoors much his weekend and as a result I feel rather disorganised for the coming week.  It’s the last full week of work and school with no external commitments, but then there is just one more week after that before the children break up for the summer – eek!

For those of you that don know we have just bought our first tent and camping accessories, with the hopes of starting to take the children away camping as often as we can.  It feels like a lovely way for us all to spend some quality family time together, with no TVs, housework or distractions.  To be fair we will probably go to holiday parks where there is nightly entertainment and Wi-Fi, but you have to start somewhere!  Do you enjoy getting out in the countryside and camping?  Maybe you like using bikes, scooters ad outdoor equipment?  My girls love taking their scooters when we go away, and it is good practice for them too.

If you are a fan of the outdoors, or just enjoy day trips during the summer you are going to love our exclusive competition this month!  Tell me in the comments below what your summer escape plans are and you could be winning a £50 Halfords voucher to spend on whatever you want!  We plan to be out camping as much as we can across the Island, and to just enjoy all the wonderful nature and countryside around us.  How would you spend your voucher - maybe you would like to get some new safety gear for your family bike enthusiast, or use it to purchase some new camping accessories, or even just to buy some car maintenance essentials such as oil, windscreen wash or any of the other little bits that soon add up when you are using the car all the time.  This competition is for registered members of The PrizeFinder only, and you will need to be logged into your account to leave me a comment.  One entry per person and the competition ends at 23:59 on Sunday 12th July 2015 with a winner being chosen at random shortly afterwards – good luck everyone!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x

Visiting as many National Trust properties and gardens as we can as we moved last year (200 miles away) and haven't seen all the properties and gardens in this area yet.

I would give the voucher to my husband. He's the cyclist of the family and would love to treat himself to some new accessories.

We want to take the kids camping again. We took them for two nights a few months ago but the tent was too small for all of us so would like to get a bigger tent!

No escape plans here other than the garden! Having a basement conversion done over the summer, so we're going to be around. I'd spend the voucher on car care goodies x

My daughter is only three and is the outdoorsy type, I doubt she'd enjoy camping yet, but hopefully next year. We were in halfords getting her a new car seat yesterday and we had a look at their bikes, they have some lovely childrens ones for her age, so I'd like to use the voucher towards her first bike :)

Summer, will be spent with the ever growing Great-Gran- Children, and Summer, my Gran Daughter, we have a camp out, wet weather sees indoor crafts, and baking, and of course, Grandad will have to arrange trips out Zoo being favourite.
Hope you have a great summer Kirsty, we love camping (weather permitting), its cheap, some lovely sites, and the kids big and old!, love it, plus it teaches them about nature, thanks for voucher competition.

My summer escape plans are frequent trips to London to see my granddaughter. She is 18 months old and just started talking. I love playing with her but soon she will have a sibling for me to love to. Meanwhile in Switzerland I am awaiting the arrival of another grandchild so my summer will be really busy!!!

We've booked a caravan down on Trecco Bay in Porthcawl. It's our son's first birthday so we're taking the grandparents too in the hope that he'll take his first steps in front of them all. He's really close so fingers crossed xx

My escape plan is to turn my husband phone off and lie back in the sun while the kids play happily by themselves, oh and to have someone else to come in to cook and clean would be nice - some chance.
