Hello everyone!  How was your weekend, any nice wins to report?  Nothing new for me here, but I am hoping that as we approach the end of the month that a few wins start to trickle in.  We have been enjoying sampling all the Gourmet Burger Kitchen relishes that I won this week – they are a lovely accompaniment to sausages, burgers and salads – a very tasty win!  Looking forward to the Spanish sauces that I won from Holland & Barrett turning up too!

So here we are at another Bank Holiday three-day weekend, not sure where the year is going!  This week is also half term for us, so we have the children home as well as trying to continue to work, do housework and enjoy some family time.  If you have little ones at home do you find it difficult to keep all the balls in the air during school holidays?  Whether you are out to work, work from home or a stay at home parent it can be very tricky to try and keep juggling everything, and still manage to leave some time for comping too!

At least the weather has been pretty good for a change this Bank Holiday weekend.  We are away on the mainland visiting relatives with the children, so comping has rather gone by the wayside so far this week.  When the weather gets more pleasant do you like to get outside in the garden, maybe for BBQs or parties?  If so did you know that it is officially National BBQ Week this week – 25 – 31st May 2015!  What a perfect excuse to get some friends and family over to enjoy the fresh air, some good food and a good chat!

To celebrate National BBQ Week we have a great exclusive competition for all you lovely PrizeFinder members.  Join in and you could be winning a fabulous BBQ prize bundle including a Landmann Charcoal Wagon BBQ, a BBQ cover and a set of stainless steel BBQ utensils.  The BBQ comes with an adjustable chrome plated cooking grill, wooden side and base shelves to hold all your rolls, salad and sauces and a built in windshield.  Imagine the fun you could have with a brand new, shiny BBQ, cooking up all kinds of delicious BBQ food such as burgers, chicken, sausages and corn on the cob.

To enter this month’s competition you need to be logged into your PrizeFinder account and leave me a comment below with what your favourite BBQ food is.  Mine would have to be a nice juicy, homemade burgers with lots of cheese, salad and relish!  Although to be honest I love all kinds of BBQ food, definitely one of my favourite kinds of food!  One entry per person please and remember that comments are moderated and won’t appear straight away.  The closing date is 23:59 on Sunday 31st May 2015 – good luck everyone!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!

Kirsty x

I make my burgers from scratch - I mix the meat with herbs/spices, a small amount of marinade (too much will make them very wet), leave in the fridge for a few hours, remove and mix with breadcrumbs and shape into burgers.
I put out a selection of salad, dressings, buns, etc., so that people can choose what they want.
My favourite bbq food is salmon, cooked in foil with lemon thyme. This leaves a lemony flavour throughout the salmon.

Discovered last year we love barbecued oysters with a little garlic and olive oil. Quick to barbecue (a little longer to open before cooking)
