WIN a £50 Amazon voucher!

Here's a great new competition especially for registered PrizeFinder members – you could win a £50 Amazon voucher just by telling us about the BEST prize you've ever won in a competition!

I'll start by telling you about my best ever prize - it was a VW Beetle which I won in a slogan competition way back in 2002. I'd only been entering 'purchase necessary' tiebreaker competitions for a couple of years and this was a BIG purchase – to enter, you had to buy a Zanussi washing machine and send off a copy of your receipt with the entry form. As if by magic, my ten year old washer actually broke down a few days after I spotted the competition - I took that as a sign I should enter and bought the washer on a year's interest free credit. I spent ages on my slogan which I must admit, wasn't one of my best efforts – but you never know what the judges are looking for!

"I like to wash my clothes in a Zanussi because…
From winter woolies to skimpy underwear,
Zanussi technology is programmed to care"

…and a couple of months later I got the Winning Telephone Call from Electrolux to say I'd won the car! I was over the moon - I'd always wanted a Beetle, and even when they made me sit on a washing machine outside my local Currys store for the local newspaper photographer I didn't mind.

I've won lots of amazing prizes since then, but I really loved that car - it will take an incredible prize to top that!

And so - now we want to hear about YOUR best prize. It might be the most valuable prize you've won, or a proper money-can't-buy experience. Maybe it was a toy that your child really wanted - or was your very first prize the most special? Leave a comment here on this blog post telling us what the prize was and what made it so special, and one winner will be chosen at random to win a £50 Amazon voucher.

Your comment won't appear here immediately as we have moderation set up on the blog, but as long as it's received before 12 midnight on Sunday 30 September 2012 it will count!

Terms and Conditions

1. Open to UK residents aged 18 or over
2. Entrants must be registered PrizeFinder users and logged in to their account – anonymous comments won't be included in the draw
3. Only one entry per person
4. The winner will be chosen at random.
5. The closing date is 30th September 2012.
6. Entrants will be notified by email within 7 days of the closing date and the £50 Amazon voucher will be sent via email

I only starting comping a year ago. Not longer after I started I entered a Twitter competition run by Buyagift.com. I had to compose a short rhyme (not really one of my strong points!). I was very surprised to win a £50 gift voucher for their website.

I kept hold of the voucher, not really sure what I wanted to spend it on. After a few months I found out that one of the gifts they sold was a 'Meet the Red Pandas' experience. Not only that, but there was a 2-for-1 offer on the experience so my husband could come along as well. We are both huge Red Panda fans & never dreamed of being able to get the chance to feed & touch these gorgeous creatures.

i enter loads of comps and never win, so when i entered a vauxhall comp for my child to be a flagbearer i didnt expect to win. when i got the call i was so excited!, and as the child had to be over 10 it made it easy to choose which one of my kids would do it as only 1 was over 10 at the time. so me, my daughter and my sister got to go to watch england play holland and i was so proud as chaiann led the football players on to the pitch i was bubbling in the stands. we`d told everyone and so everyone was at home watching too. it was a once in a lifetime oppurtunity for her and it was my time watching england play live intead of on tv so it was a great day for all of us. its something she`ll rember forever . its the biggest prize i`ve ever won, (i`ve only won 3 comps in my whole life and the other 2 were for a box of chocs and a box of cleaning stuff) so this is by far my best prize ever!!

I won £6000 from ITV's Dickinson's Real Deal, which came in handy when my roof finally gave up the ghost about a week later! Full re-roof cost me £3500 so I had a bit left to buy a swanky new Iphone 4s and a few nice bits n bobs for the Mrs. Not bad considering I have never even seen Dickinson's Real Deal!

Of course, a £50 Amazon voucher from TPF.com would make the £6000 pale into insignificance....

First competition you win is always a memorable one, and mine was especially so as it was £10k holiday for Sandals in Jamaica with The Sun in 2006! Amazing holiday and spent the whole time asking what we needed to pay for - answer of course was nothing but was hard to get used to! Since then I've been a keen comper but haven't won anything to even begin to compare with that 1st win - oh well, carry on comping as you never know what's round the corner......!!

when i started comping, within four weeks i'd won an xbox 360 with a years xbox live etc and that was it, i was hooked. Within the next twelve months i have been lucky enough to win with regular competition entries, facebook comps and instant win prizes. So far i have won three fruit bushes, a jamie oliver cookbook, tickets to a show, £50 of bridal underwear, an xbox game that just randomly arrived with a congratulations letter- i still have no idea who from?! lol. Most recently i have won an oven glove, some cheese and some flip flops. There are no small prizes people- just motivation to carry on and wait for the big win that i just know will come. Keep comping people! :)

i only started entering competitions back in january this year. when my dad got rushed to hospital i stayed by his side every day and night till he passed away on the 12th feb . when i wasnt at his side i felt i needed something to take my mind off him being so poorly .so found i could enter competition via facebook etc . got my 1st win 3 days after he passed away (to me it was a sign from dad to carry on entering comps , as he loved to enter them before he had Alzheimer) so i now enter in memory of dad .
my best win to me was a competition to win a wooden bangle and had to say what words would the winner have lazered onto it . i chose "dad gone but never forgotten 12/02/12" and yes i won it and was totally over the moon with it as i wearing it in memory of my dad every day . also find that its a comfort to me knowing he near me . the bracelet is worth only £10 but to me will always be my bestest win as its not the cost of the bracelet as to me no prize will ever compare to my dad memory bracelet cos its very personal to me and there is no other like it liz x

I won my highest value prize today!! An IPad! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the email header line, thought it was one of those spam emails but no this was the real thing. I've only been comping about 9 monts but have made lots of friends and really enjoy the sense of community. I love the way everyone is so happy for everyone else's wins!! I won a total of 35 prizes in August, lots of perfume, toiletries and chocolates, all very much appreciated. This week started with a £75 cash win and ended with the iPad. I'm a very happy lady at the moment.

Since the event of 9/11 my teenage son had wanted to visit ground zero. We both got that chance last year when I won two return flight tickets to New York. Feeling slightly guilty about leaving my husband at home for a week, I was delighted to find that I had won two VIP tickets to the British Motorcycle GP at Silverstone which I promptly gave to hubby. That turned out to be the best prize I have ever won because he was so chuffed - and it enabled my son and I to enjoy our trip!

The best prize I've ever won was my wedding in the Bahamas this May. The prize included travel & accomodation for me, my husband to be and two witnesses. It included wedding rings and the dress, and the complete wedding package on the beach including a rehearsal dinner the night before and a 3 course meal on the evening of the wedding, champagne, flowers and cake.
We paid for our 5 children to come and we had the best time ever. The hotel let our children and my mother in law & our witnesses two children have the reception meals at no extra cost and they threw in all inclusive for us too which was a bonus! We also had two 5 course meals at two of the most exclusive restaurants on the island, including cocktails and entertainment. Our wedding day was fabulous, we were given our own videographer who made the perfect wedding video for us. We were treated like royalty and felt like VIP's the whole time. It was an experience that we will never forget

We spent three days in Paris VIP everything from first class travel on Eurostar to best seats for the final. Amazing experience which I won with Gillette. It was a purchase then spot the ball entry form comp.

In the mid eighties I won a trip to Paris courtesy of Asda Restaurants & Douwe Egberts orange juice. The flight was on Concorde and we flew out over the Atlantic before going Super Booming Sonic down to the Bay of Biscay before landing in Paris. Sadly with the demise of Concorde this prize is now unrepeatable,,,,,

My best ever prize was a family trip to Andorra from Actimel. The prize was amazing and was a once in a lifetime trip but due to circumstances of mum being in a road traffic accident and a redundancy we had to put on hold as i had promised to take mum. Her injuries were'nt life threatening but would take time to recover with broken ribs. Actimel kindly got in touch with me and rather than Andorra said i could pick where i would like to go. Mum who is a widow always wanted to take her only grand son to Euro Disney but her purse strings wouldn't stretch. Actimel agreed and we had a 3 night stay in a fantastic Disney Hotel and mum got her wish. The day i told mum we were going will stay in my mind forever and we all had an amazing time. Mum even accidentaly ended up on Big Thunder mountain, after listening to a 7 year old telling her it was a smooth ride! I think she learnt fast after that and looked at the ride signs first.

My best prize was in 2010 and was the Ultimate Ticket from Bauer Radio. It consisted of tickets to the World Cup Final in Johannesburg, tickets to Strictly Come Dancing Final, tickets to the Mens Final at Wimbledon and an invitation to Sports Relief Night at the BBC where I was briefly on the tele ! Everything came with transport and accomodation, we had a week in Johannesburg but extended the holiday for another week in Capetown. 2011 was very boring after that win !!
